Hello everyone, ![]()
- I’d like to share with you my experience flying around the world in 25 days “23 Oct - 16 Nov 2025” with the Diamond DA42.
To start, I’ve created a Google Site that documents the entire journey. I’d love for you to take a look at it here: Around The World With DA42 VI HZ-MSA
-
Storyline

-
I didn’t start this world tour to break records or create a dramatic story. The idea came from a YouTube series by Captain Mishal Al-Sudairi, who flew around the world in a DA42. The journey looked unique, realistic, and surprisingly uncommon — only 146 real-world pilots have completed a solo world flight.
-
I wanted to follow a similar route, fly the same aircraft, and even use the same livery he flew. But sometimes, being denied something can become a strong reason for positive change — and that’s exactly what happened to me. I didn’t know how to create a livery before. I had requested flightsim.to and reached out to many livery creators. Some replied with apologies due to the difficulty or lack of availability at the moment, others said they might do it but couldn’t promise anything, and some didn’t respond at all. What actually happened gave me the motivation to learn. By the grace of God, I learned a few things in Blender that helped me design the very first livery of my life. It’s not the best or the most complete, but it’s a work in progress: HZ-MSA Livery
-
This world tour was mainly about exploring new places, different weather, unfamiliar airports, and seeing how far I could go with simple tools and limited hardware.
-
I documented the journey with photos and tracking links for every flight via VATSIM. I had originally planned to publish pictures for all the flights, but Nigel on COWS Discord suggested that I post daily updates for each flight, so I did. Starting from the sixth flight, I began doing that: Check this

Final Word

-
Alhmadullah done. I wanted to document the journey with videos on YouTube, but unfortunately, my laptop hardware doesn’t allow it
— maybe in the future with an upgrade. I also wished I could have done it with a group instead of alone; that would have made it even more amazing. -
What’s next? I’m planning to repeat the journey, but not heading east — instead going north or south. I know it’s a bit crazy, especially crossing Antarctica, but I think it would be very exciting.
I haven’t planned it yet. -
I want to thank: Captain Mishaal Al-Sudairy for the inspiration, as well as for giving his permission to create and share his livery and for his warm welcome; COWS for this amazing aircraft; VATSIM for ATC services; Henkerhaus for the Beige interior; TimHH for seat logos; Norwegian Flight Sim, Nigel, Veyronox, and Tommy for their support and for following the journey with me on Discord; and Captain Ammar for accompanying me on my final flight from Athens to Sphinx.

Thank You Everyone ![]()
