My PMDG DC6 Accessibility Mod & Checklist/Guides

I released my Mod for the incredible PMDG DC-6. My mod mainly is intended for better accessibilty for people like me with bad vision, ocd´s and or learning impairments. I also made some checklist/guides and a Status Bar for AAO.

Status Bar:
The status bar is an AAO (Axis and Ohs/Payware) desktop gauge. It is freely movable and on top of every window. It shows some engine parameters, flap / gear settings, some warnings (parking brake/gust lock) and basic flight parameters (KIAS/VS/ALT). With this Bar you dont have to switch so much around with the views.

Guides/Checklist
My Guides contains checklists, procedures, rough fuel planning, power charts (takeoff, climb, cruise) and more. I made two guides - one fully utilises the AFE (automatic flight engineer) and the other is without using AFE at all. Both guides are availble as PDF downloads or as part of my ingame checklist mod, with which you can see these and my other guides as an ingame toolbar panel.

With the new PMDG Update (2.0.27) it was possible to intergrate the GTN750 into the GNS430 screen. This is a separate Download, see links below.

Love the effort you are putting in to the DC-6 and, that you are sharing it with us. I spent most of yesterday reading your two guides. Very nice.

Thanks for the “Other mods” update. Question though please:

When I load PMDG DC-6 with the “Main Mod 750/650”, how do I access the nav frequencies? I see “Psh Nav >” but I cant find any way to respond to leave the COMM frequencies get to the NAV frequency settings.

Once again, thank you for your ongoing attention.

Honestly, I havent played around with the 650 much yet. I will try to figure this out and report back, if not answered by then by another one. Kind Regards

Yeah, PMDG didn´t want this Mod. This is ok for me. If it is against the eula then it is. It is not my intention to disrespect PMDG, so I will not argue. But i cannot delete this mod for some reason I dont understand. So it is UNAVAILABLE. I have to figure out, how to take it off.

Wow that’s a shame, the HSI accessibility improvement makes the difference between usable and not for me.
