Love Navigraph for it’s many features. I doubt we will see same level for free.
SimToolKitPro is also very nice. Other use case but also free. Livemap, planning etc.
For anyone that ever flies within Australia, I recommend book-marking this site.
The Australian Government (Well, Air Services Australia, A Government Corporation) puts all the Aerodrome/Airport charts online, updated and free of charge. https://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/pending/dap/AeroProcChartsTOC.htm
Hope this is helpful to someone!
I think there was a suggestion from the navblue partner video that charts could come later…
I should stop with the thinking emojis, somebody might accuse me of working for AMD…
@sneaky74
What video?
Right, it’s gone…
Sorry it was an article and about Charts+ which is this very thread!
Realistic and accurate aerodrome and terminal procedure charts used by professional pilots across the globe will be supplied with Charts+ to allow gamers and virtual pilots to access genuine information about aviation procedures in the airports and airspace.
How exactly did you contact them?
On their web page is simply Contact as generally on other web pages…
But I had already answer as stated, no next contact is expected soon…
Hopefully the next dev blog update sheds some light on this!
Based on their website it’s just charts. Since real world charts get updated quite frequently, to use them with sim you also need to update the navaids and procedures in sim. So you’d still need Navigraph to do that.
From the press release:
NAVBLUE will provide real-world aeronautical data to Microsoft through its Navigation+ and, post launch, Charts+ services, to support the realistic experience that is the next generation “Microsoft Flight Simulator” software.
Authentic worldwide navigation data, which is currently used on all major Flight Management Systems (FMS) and Flight Operation ground support tools, will be delivered in ARINC424 format, which is the international standard format for aircraft navigation.
So no, Navigraph should not be necessary…
Hello every body,
What is the status with Navblue partnership ?
They were supposed to be the one providing airport, SID and STAR charts…
I think, if I understand correctly, they provide the navigational data (RNAV fixes, VORs, NDBs) as well as terminal and approach procedures, all in text format.
They won’t provide charts to users, that’s a service someone else has to provide.
Any hint from Microsoft or Adobo team members please ?
Here is what Navblue was saying in June:
NAVBLUE is pleased to announce that it has been selected to supply their data solutions for “Microsoft Flight Simulator,” the next iteration in the franchise scheduled for release this year.
NAVBLUE was selected to supply data solutions after an official contract was signed at the end of March 2020.
The Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise is one of the longest running, best-selling, beloved simulators over the last 35 years. “Microsoft Flight Simulator” will enable simmers, aviation fans, gamers and pilots to fly all types of aircraft, from light aeroplanes to long-range aircraft, with an extreme level of detail, in an incredibly realistic environment. Players can create their own flight plan and fly all over the world, by day or night, in all weather conditions.

With NAVBLUE, we have an excellent partner who always listens to our simulation needs and provides the tools to allows us to present the most realistic navigation data for the flight sim community.”
i bet the plattform isnt ready yet to implement that data …
And that is why I use and love Navigraph!
If it was signed in March… that seems way too soon to expect it. (Basing on current release status of advertised features)
Actually, they said they will.
