I can demoing the Navigraph Maps and planned a route using between Brisbane, AU and Wellington, NZ on the FBW A32NX.
I can export to FS2020 then load the flight plan and it appears in the MCDU.
How can I make it also appear in the FlyPad? All I can see is an option to import via Simbrief.
Route
YBBN/19L SCOTT3 SCOTT J208 LHI M639 GULUT DCT GULUT SIMZ1D NZWN/HUWIT.R16-X
I pasted the route into Simbrief but when I analyzed the route, it came up with a bunch of errors.
Error: Airway "R16" uses invalid endpoints.
Error: Fix or airway "SCOTT3" not found.
Error: Fix or airway "SIMZ1D" not found.
Error: Fix or airway "X" not found.
Route distance: 1357 nm (+ 0.1%).
Is this because the AIRAC database is old?
If you have a Navigraph supscription, which you obviously do as you can use the charts, then SimBrief is using the latest Airac.
You cannot simply copy / paste the Charts flight plan into Simbrief.
In Simbrief, create the flight entering in all the required information.
Once done, and you are at the route portion you would put in the following;
SCOTT3 SCOTT J208 LHI M639 GULUT DCT GULUT SIMZ1D
When you generate the flight plan, it’ll assign the runways.
Lastly, in your example you already have your approach procedure loaded. Simbrief will not accept / give that as ATC assigns your approach, that is why the HUWIT.R16-X (RNAX X RWY16 with the HUWIT Transition) does not load.
I do things the opposite way, I create the fligth plan in Simbrief, then I copy the routing and paste it into Navigraph Charts to update it as well. That way you know you are getting the current / real world assignments / routing.
I hope that helps.

Very helpful information. Thank you very much.
Can I choose a preferred approach in Navigraph instead and ignore the MS2020 ATC?
When does ATC assign the Approach? Maybe like 100NM before the destination?
Does ATC assign the Departure as well? I am using MS2020 ATC so not sure how reliable it is.

I use the MS202 ATC too and find that quite often it assigns the approach very late. It could be that I’m not a great pilot (obviously!), but I find it hard to enter the approach into the MCDU and actually make the approach in time. Usually I’m way too high.
To avoid this, I do it all this way:
- Create the flight in simbrief as @skypilotYTS says above
- I use the simbrief downloader to automatically download the MS2020 format of the flightplan
- Optionally import the flight into Navigraph Charts (Flights > New Flight > From Simbrief will load your latest simbrief flight directly into Navigraph charts) - this can enable you to choose your approach
- From the world map in MS2020, load in the flight plan that the simbrief downloader saved - this will enable the in game ATC to properly follow your flight
- On the world map screen, add the approach you want (this is so that the in game ATC will use this approach and you don’t have to wait for it to be assigned), then start the flight
- Once in the plane, make sure the first interaction with ATC is to request IFR clearance (this option can disappear if it is not your first interaction)
- You can then load in the flight plan into the FlyPad and add the approach in the MCDU
Hope that helps

Thank you for sharing your workflow.
I have based on workflow on yours and flew the same twice: 1) loading the flight plan into FS2020 and 2) only loading into the MCDU/FlyPad.
Whilst it was nice having ATC accompany during the flight, the decent comms was late (know common issue). So to workaround this for another flight, I did not load load the flight plan into FS2020.
I turned on constraints and aimed for the 1st altitude constraint waypoint on the STAR. Then aim for the 2nd altitude constraint waypoint etc. This helped me make sure I was low enough to capture the ILS on final. This works but the decent profile is not gradual like in real life (when looking on flightradar24) but stepped decent.
