Need help, MSFS installs Community stuff in weird location

Hello there.

To give you all some background context, I have MSFS 2020 Standard Edition installed on my D drive (Hard Disk). However, I’ve experienced something strange which is a reason why I can’t get the CaptainSim 777-300ER to work (ik its kinda trash, but I like the visuals).

My OneStore folder is all normal, it’s under my chosen MSFS folder: D:\MSFS\OneStore
But the community one isn’t under D:\MSFS\Community, it is under this: D:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-3320471684-1917308660-1714662175\AppData\Local\Packages\Mic
rosoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

I spoke to some staff from CaptainSim, and they believe that the reason the 777 wont show in the game menus is because the community folder isn’t under D:\MSFS\Community. What do I need to do/can do to fix this?

Thank you,
Jxck

Hi @ItzJxck01

Try C:\Users\Yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe

I found community under LocalCache\Packages, and the aircraft is in there, but it doesnt change anything.

Is it because the community folder is in WpSystem and not D:\MSFS\Community?

This thread makes me glad I bought MSFS through Steam. It lets me pick where I want the game to go, and my community folder is literally D:\MSFS\Community

UPDATE: I’ve managed to fix the issue using MSFS Addons Linker. Thanks for your help

The Store installer lets you specify where the main content goes as well.
