Need Help - Time Delay in Simulator Since Monitor Change

Hello everyone,

I hope you can help me with a strange problem I’ve noticed while flying the Sim. I recently got a new gaming monitor, and since then, time in the simulator passes more slowly than in real life. Specifically, one minute in the simulator takes about 1 minute and 5 seconds in reality. It feels like the game is running slightly delayed.

A few details about my setup:

  • I’m playing on Xbox Series X
  • The new monitor is an Alienware AW3225QF
  • The simulator doesn’t stutter, and the fps is stable (more or less)
  • My internet isn’t the fastest, but the simulator usually runs smoothly
  • I’m currently boosting my Wi-Fi using two repeaters

Could this problem be related to the new monitor?
Or maybe the internet or the repeaters?

I appreciate any advice!

Best regards
Jan

Hi Jan,

I encounter the same here, also on XboxX. I don’t know the exact value but my cockpit clock is always several minutes slow when finishing a flight.
I haven’t tried to solve it since it doesn’t bother me too much but I seem to recall that it is related to the refresh rate of the monitor. I have my Xbox connected to a 42" Lg TV and when setting it all up the Xbox automatically chose 4k@120Hz.
I think I have read somewhere that FS doesn’t like the 120Hz and that setting it to 60 Hz in the Xbox settings would solve the problem with the slow in sim clock.
But that’s just from my memory which may well be at fault.

Regards, Frank

Moved to Hardware & Peripherals since could be related to refresh rate.

Hello Frank. I just wanna let you know, that u‘r Right. It’s because of the 120hz. The sim isn’t optimized for 120hz on xsx. I switched back to 60hz and it works Fine. Thank you
