Need help w. Joystick settings

Since ASOBO messed up the joystick settings a bit, I´m a bit lost now with my T16000.

Can someone please share his settings?

I’m using the T16000M as well. Nothing got changed for me. What problem are you having exactly?

Well, my settings went from rock solid to twichy as hell. Or in other words,I can´t find the right settings now.
The best help would be a simple screenshot from the joystick sensitivity settings.

You just have to tweak your sensitivity settings a bit. That’s really a “to taste” thing. What one person may prefer, the other will hate.

I have an X56 and after the update my sensitivity curves looked like someone crumpled up some 10 gauge copper wire. It took me all of about 3 minutes to get them sorted back out to my personal preference.

For Joystick L - Axis X : Sensitivity - (-50%), Sensitivity + (-50%), Dead Zone (0%), Neutral (0%)

For Joystick L - Axis Y: Sensitivity - (-50%), Sensitivity + (-50%), Dead Zone (0%), Neutral (0%)

Those are the settings I use for my yoke and I’m pretty happy with them.

I´m in the same boat now. On top of that is the fact that we can´t create different profiles for each plane, like in DCS, X-plane,etc. Each plane behaves different, so it´s not easy to find the “sweet spot” for all. We already have multiple threads about this, and I didn´t want to start another one only to complain about the changes ASOBO did in the last patch. That´s why I ask for screenshots. Sometimes pictures says more than words :wink:

I´m now at the -30 stage for all axis as a starting point. And even if it´s will be impossible to create a smooth curve like in other sims, it´s better than before.

Technically, you can. It requires you to go in and manually change profiles every time you switch planes though. It would be nice to have a profile attached to a particular plane. Load Plane X, and Profile X loads with it.

My stick is a generic config for all my planes, but I created a second profile for my X56 throttle. One I use for planes with mixture and / or RPM control, and another without. And I switch based on which plane I’m flying. It’s not ideal, but it works. Hopefully at some point they make it so profiles can be attached to planes.

Definitely consider adding that as a wish list item, if you can’t find an existing thread that matches it.

Depending on how twitchy your joystick is, you might want to raise the deadzone. I’m using a brand new Logitech X-56 HOTAS, and the middle idle position is wobbly which can register as a valid input. I had to set my deadzone to at least 10% to cover all the wobbliness in all axis to not count as a valid input.

FSUIPC is the answer, but I think the new version for MSFS is just now in Beta. I have used that program for years and have it in my P3D program. You assign and calibrate all controllers in FSUIPC and create a separate profile for each plane.

Like Stratocruiser says, FSUIPC for axes and LINDA for individual button control. Totally easy to use.

I really like your settings for FF2. They work great. I just had a nice flight in the Caravan, and these settings felt really good with XForce.

I have a FFB2

I know what the Dead Zone is, but what is the Neutral Zone used for? This zone was added in the last patch, I think, with no instructions as to what it is.

The latest patch is designed to make the sensitivity curve to be compatible with the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus edition.

Because that throttle quadrant, has the reversers at around 0-20% in the axis. The neutral zone is to determine which part of the axis will act as the IDLE position, while anything below the neutral zone will act as the reverse thrust.

Technically, on a standard throttle controls the neutral zone should be 0%. But on the thrustmaster TCA airbus, it needs to be higher (I think mine is set up at around 20%, but I can’t remember from the top of my head). That way, any input that’s within 0-20% thrust will be reverse thrust, while a 20% position will be 0% IDLE.
