I can launch MSFS2020 if I right click and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR but I cannot just double click the game and start it. I get the error message THE REQUEST IS NOT SUPPORTED with the following address. C:\PROGRAMFILES\WINDOWSAPPS\MICROSOFT.FLIGHTSIMULATOR_1.12.13.0_X64_8WEKYB3…\FLIGHTSIMULATOR.EXE
I cannot buy anything thru the MARKETPLACE if I run the sim as ADMINISTRATOR. Pulling my hair out here. I did a re-install of MSFS and MICROSOFT STORE yesterday as well but it still does it. Need help.

It took me 4 attempts to get the sim to start reinstalling. This is one MESSED UP piece of software.

It certainly has its moments for most of us, for sure.
Got that right mate. I, like most spend most of their time trying to get this sim to work. I call it a SIM because I’m trying to be nice.

I have this very same issue, was it resolved?
I not know how / why it happens.. Only that affected users helps to start the application with admin rights.
I assume there is as some reason a file / folder / .. changed in a way that users need admin-rights. May be these users started the application one time with admin-rights. Some users tried to re-install the game to fix that, but in this case it is also important to follow the official FAQ and manually remove folders / files which are not auto-removed from uninstaller procedure.
