Uhh, that looks really interesting. Thanks for sharing. I will definitely have a look at it.
I downloaded the file, extracted it, and it doesn’t work on my Win10 machine. Not sure why but the program simply will not open. I’ll try again later to see if a newer version will work.
I just tried it and have to say it is pretty neat. Definitely fits MFS in its current state where VFR/bush flying makes more sense.
Huh. This looks really cool. Why is it free?
Edit - also, on the Getting Started page on the dev website, it says connect the app before you start the engine. Many bush strips in MSFS have o my runway start, with the engine already running. I wonder how it handles that.
I see a YouTube video where someone commented it would not work unless they used 7zip to extract
Same thing happening to me.
I was able to successfully extract it and run it, but when I choose an ICAO and generate missions for it, and I try to Fly & Connect (I have met all the params - on the ramp, engine ticking over, brake on, payloads set etc), it says Choose a Mission. I go back to the tab, make sure the right mission is selected, it still says Choose a Mission. Are there only certain missions or ICAOs allowed?
Did you click “Fly” to the left of the mission? That’s the first step, then you can go to the next tab and click Connect and Fly. The dev’s pretty active on his discord as well, very friendly community for the program.
For a new release beta it is really good. I have flown more than a dozen “missions” and have found only minor bugs. Everyone needs to try this out and drop the author a few Euros if they like it. I was doing airport to airport and finally tried a “bush” mission, stuffing two firefighters (LOL) into my Savage Cub and landing them in a field about 10 miles from the airport. A real hoot!
Nice find thanks
Simple and fun. Thanks for the suggestion.
it happens to me exactly the same chosen, impossible to know why …
Im using this and its great.
Thel app itself has a similar look and feel of the OnAir program and very similar functionality but without all the faffing about with accounts and wages and parking fees etc.
Its a really polished and professional little program.
I have flown a few flights in it and its great. I hope they keep polishing this app just to get rid of the rough edges.
Simple. Just shut the aircraft down, and you have a cold start situation. I assume that when you then launch the software, it sees the aircraft just as it would if you had started on the ramp.
For this app does it plan flights for you or do you have to do all the planning in the world map ahead of time? AKA will it track my flight live or would I just click a button in the app later to say I’ve completed it? And yes, I know the site would probably tell me, but it’s early, I’m lazy, and I just like talking to everyone here
I’ve made four flights so far, and for the first time ever I’ve sent a donation to the author - it’s THAT good.
One tip for new users:
If you land at an airport or airfield with no parking spots or ground services to complete your flight, look for the fuel pumps and park at the spot in front of the pumps
Really wanted to give this a try but it won’t connect to my sim, even though I’m sat in a parked plane - it just says the connection failed.
I have other Simconnect apps which work fine, so I’m unsure why this won’t work?
Don’t know if it’ll help, but I must’ve tried downloading it three or four times, trying all sorts of things to get it to load, it just wouldn’t do anything, even using 7Zip.
I’d tried putting it on my D drive. Just by chance I tried extracting it to C and it fired up straight away.
This is AMAZING. Why is it free? Are there going to be some micro transaction timers that pop up in a few hours?
A few questions-
Do you need to actually load the cargo yourself by typing in the weight in the cargo screen? Or will the game automatically load you after the loading noises stop?
For drop off missions, do I actually have to land at the designated areas? Most of them are in the water, so would I need to take the Icon so I can land in water? Or can I just fly over it and it will auto-drop the cargo out the window?
