I bought the game the day it launched, and set up my custom control bindings for my controller.
A couple of patches later Asobo fixed some bugs with the controllers some people were experiencing.
Ever since I always get this message when I plug in my controller:
It is kinda annoying to have this pop up every time. Does anyone else experience this?
I have a Saitek Cyborg Evo.
If I click ‘keep default’, it keeps my previous set custom bindings.
It works fine if I plug it in before launching the sim yes, but it should remember my devices right? I don’t think it’s supposed to work this way, and if it is, it’s bad design.
So what happens is you create a Bind & save it ?
Do you get an error message when it saves ?
Is the bind still there when you re-select the Controller.
I get the impression, you are saying, if you then disconnect & re-connect the Joystick, it cannot find your profile ?
I have a custom profile for my stick. Yet any time I plug it in it says this is a new device, which it is not.
Clicking ‘keep default’ actually doesn’t select the empty ‘default’ but my custom profile instead.
The bug is that it doesn’t remember that I already set up this stick. (even though it has a custom profile)
How does this only have 9 votes? I guess I’m the only one who turns on his wireless Xbox controller when using the drone camera and see this pop-up. Every. Dang. Time.
I hope they reengineer this with the per-aircraft device profiles in FS24.
I get this also when I plug in my Flightstick after FS2020 installs.
I click customize.
It uses my regular profile.
Which is the profile displayed on the Controls Options screen.
If my Flightstick is plugged in before, I dont get it.
Edit:
I should have stated that my controllers are on a USB HUB
with on/off switches.
The above occurs when I forget to turn the switches on the Hub to on.
I normally turn them off when not flying.
There, voted. It’s a wierd one sure. Happens every time I switch on the xbox wireless controller. But doesn’t happen if the sim is in the middle of a loading screen when the controller connects.
