While this aircraft really is a beauty to behold, and modeled quite well (many thanks to the author), I’m not happy with the flight model.
It’s extremely stable, engine power output increases rapidly when increasing throttle a bit, and it climbs like a rocket at 160+ knots. When preparing for a landing, gear down does nothing to airspeed or attitude. All in all, not very convincing.
If a good soul would try and adjust the flight model and engine parameters, it could become a decent aircraft.

How do you download these to MSFS 2020. I have done the download and put to my community folder and it is there but plane does not show in my hanger. Is there a youtube video to show us how to do it.
If you downloaded and unzipped the latest version 3 file:
The unzipped folder is named deHavilland_DH104_Dove_v3.
Inside this there is another folder named deHavilland DH104 Dove V2.zip.
Inside this there is another folder named deHavilland DH104 Dove.
Copy and paste the deHavilland DH104 Dove folder into your Community folder.
Thanks, all working now but is it common that the dove has poor throttle response or maybe best to do just the Dove Zip and not ones with numbers? Flys well except it can suddenly over throttle for no reason then AI wants to take over.
Only the deHavilland DH104 Dove folder will be recognised by the sim anyway, but you should delete all the others. I don’t have the throttle issues you’re getting - I use the Modern flight model, not the Legacy flight model. Never use the Legacy flight model by the way; it only causes problems.

Are the types you are mentioning something you need to set when downloading. The modern or legacy version?
Is there a way to get the engines to start, other than using Ctrl-E? If so, how?
Unfortunately there does not seem to be any other way than the ctrl-e shortcut.
It would be awesome if this plane got another update; the throttle response is limited to the first 25% of the control movement, propeller pitch and mixture controls are not really doing anything other than minute changes to oil pressure. I wish I knew how to tweak the engines.cfg to remedy these shortcomings.
Other than that, a truly enjoyable model in my opinion.
It would be great to see this re-released as MSFS 2024 native

I just discovered this aircraft, and I think it’s going to be my favorite. I’ve always liked the DC-3, but not the taildragger gear. The Dove perfectly fits the vintage, twin-engine tricycle gear configuration that I enjoy. It’s very well done and is a great airplane!
Allegedly there’s a commercial model of the closely related DH114 Heron coming ‘soon’, I can’t remember which company is doing it though.
