Anyone else having issues with the new controller sensitivity setup? I had my sensitivity set to -70 before and it worked just fine. Now, (maybe apart of the recent update) there is the + and - sensitivities and the curves look and work absolutely horribly.
actually since there’s now the possibility to change more factors in the sensitivity settings I find it much better. Of course the standard curves don’t work everywhere
When I tried with settings set to 0, I stalled and crashed on takeoff after my c152 pitched straight up as soon as I put a little back pressure on the joystick.
What I don’t get is why are there dents in the curves? Shouldn’t they be smooth? Makes no sense to me.
I agree totally, the highly exponential default curves are very unrealistic, they need to implement more controller and axis tools. for example the end points among other parameters.
Anyone else agree that the Neutral should move the response in the vertical manner. - or am i complete;y missing something ???
Surely, the whole point is to compensate for the Pot not being 100% centered, when the springs have moved the joystick to it’s mechanical center point.
Its the OUTPUT that needs to be shifted Higher or lower …
You still want the resting point to be in the middle of the Dead zone, not slipping off the end.
I agree with you. But, my only issue is that that + and - curves for the X and Y axes close to the origin are quite different. They should be, and need to be, mirror images of each other.
Agreed … maybe my CRUDE Photoshop mark up was not that accurate. but I find any use of Neutral, at the moment, just cause more issues that it is meant to fix.
If Asobo don’t change it, then maybe the only way to achieve what is needed, will be with FSUIPC
Actually, I was amazed that Asobo even added the Neutral, but maybe in the rush to do so, they did not fully think it through ???
The other option, of course, is to correct the offset issue in the Joystick itself, but that means taking it apart, and risking damaging it past all repair !!!
Adjust by mechanically re-centering the pot, or adding a Trimmer pot that can be adjusted with the Joystick back together.
