Awesome! I’ve been waiting for it long time as the current addon is absolutely miserable. I’m tracking AZRSIM discord updates in a daily basis. Let’s hope and wait. It’s the airport of my hometown:)

It’s FS2024 only, which I didn’t initially realise (thread title changed accordingly). Not sure if that means it’s native. £31.19 makes it by far the most expensive airport n the sim, and I’m not sure Azrsim’s current standard justifies that, even for Saudi Arabia’s busiest airport.
The Jeddah Landmarks pack (link below) is £10.80, so over £40 for the complete package (although you do get a £4 discount if both are purchased together). The provided screenshots don’t show us much — Azrsim never offer images of their cities at night, which is a little concerning (no light-lighting?).

For that price it’s a hard pass for me. Plus I don’t fly in this area that often to justify it.

I really don’t understand Azrsim. This price is absurd and they’re hardly a top tier developer. And it contributes to add-on price inflation. Yet every other month their stuff goes on sale for 50% off. Strange pricing model. Even so, I don’t think I’d purchase this even at 50% off if it’s at all like their UBBB as it would still not be particularly good value. It’s too bad that a better developer doesn’t produce for this region.

I think they rely on the top-tier devs leaving these regions alone. Getting reference info unless you’re a Middle East citizen is probably extremely difficult. Heck, even if you ARE a Middle Easterner, you’re probably going to have a hard time. I’m glad there are some out there willing to create these more obscure airports but the price here is certainly excessive. The good news is that it’ll be cheaper on his own store site, after the two-week Ini exclusivity period.

I purchased it. Agree with the high price tag. I got it because I waited so long to have a proper airport for my hometown.
After a quick flight from Riyadh to Jeddah and vice versa, (PMDG 777 as Saudia Airlines utilizes this big bird for this high demanding route) here is my conclusion:
It’s a huge airport with wonderful scenery and details. However, as usual Azrsim sceneries are a huge resources consuming.
Although the airport is perfectly designed, it lacks detailed interior: no cafes no restaurants no NPS characters. The famous gigantic aquarium in the airport entrance (every body takes selfies there!) is not there! So it’s not suitable for content creators.
The most important point, it’s still an immersion killer, gateways are not functioning, GSX positions are inaccurate, the big thing: frequencies (tower, ground, approach, departure,…) are missing!! It’s totally uncontrolled airport like a tiny air strip in the middle of Nepal. The previous TaiModels (doubleT) OEJN scenery was controlled regardless its cheap quality.
If you’re not emotionally attached to this airport like me, be patient and hold on.

Landmarks work fairly not bad at night but the amount of them doesn’t justify the price as well. There is a free addon in flightsim.to for MSFS 2020 that works barely satisfying but the amount of buildings is much more.

Wow, for such a high price tag that is a borderline rip-off. They do have experience making other airports though, do Riyadh and their other airports have these issues too?

For Riyadh, only the performance and gateway accuracy. Needs some night lighting improvements as they rely solely on Asobo dynamic spotlights assets

Heard from Azrsim, the frequencies issue was noted and will be fixed in an upcoming patch 1.01 and they also said they were not able to do the full interior due to no available interior floor plans of the terminal being available online.

Just bought it as well because I was also quite frustrated with the Double T model and being a Riyadh native, I really wanted to get OEJN from Azrsim.
While it is realistic, I would say you should probably wait before purchasing this. The performance is not great and my GPU was dying (3060 Ti) whereas it is fine even at the inibuilds KJFK, EGLL, OTHH, or OMDB which are arguably more graphically intensive. I guess we will just have to wait for updates and hope they address the performance issues

There is another issue I noticed. In the first flight, the airport was bright and lit as it is supposed to be. While in the second flight it got darker with cold white lights and the interior was barely visible from the outside. They said it’s Asobo issue as they use Asobo Dynamic Spotlights asset. they reported it to Asobo and asked me to do the same.
I fixed the frequencies issue by the package reorder tool getting the scenery above the navigation data. it’s working and still but I can’t guarantee how reliable it is because I’m not expert with the logic behind package reorder thing.
Azrsim dropped the price a couple of days ago, to £24. Still a bit pricey, quality considered, but better than £31.19!
