New Release: Just Flight PA-28R Turbo Arrow III/IV

The JF Arrow III and Turbo Arrow III/IV are modeled with fuel injected engines (no carburetor). The JF Warrior II is a carbureted model, but I have not flown that one.

What IS the FM update though? What doea FM evsn stand for?

I assumed Flight Model, but I may be wrong.

You are correct. Just Flight is reworking the flight model to cooperate with the latest changes in MSFS. They sent out a note to people who wished to test it out.

I have an issue where the PMS 50 and the pa 28 don’t like each other anymore. Basically, it keeps swapping between GPS and NAV and the needle keeps oscillating. Anyone else has the same issue?

Sounds like WT GNS430/530 is installed. Deinstallation will fix Your issue.

Thanks! Yes it is, and it wasn’t before. I will try straightaway.

It worked thanks

Late to the show but get the TDS GTN 750.

It makes the Arrows a joy. :+1:

And then watch a video about the unique-ish AP system.

What exactly are the advantages you appreciate so much? Thought about getting it a while ago but didn’t quite see the value proposition

I’m having this same problem - the ailerons only move to full deflection and stay there until you go the opposite direction and then get stuck there. I tried downloading the installer again and “repairing”, but still no luck. The plane is unflyable. Anyone know the fix?

I’m not suggesting this applies to you, but I had this exact issue in flight until I realised the autopilot was still on :man_facepalming:

Might be worth trying to cycle the AP just in case.

Re-loading a state (i.e cold and dark) from the tablet and turning off state saving solved this for me.

My issue was just like the others. Autopilot was on from state saving.

Thank you all - that was it. I don’t get along well with those oddball Autopilots, so I likely was trying it out and left it on. Can’t believe I didn’t realize that earlier. Thanks again!

The JF autopilot has a couple of idiosyncracies.

One is that you need to be pretty much on track for the next waypoint before engaging the autopilot, it will not do a 180 turn for you and seek out the correct heading if you are pointing totally the wrong way.

The other is, if state saving is enabled, you MUST always always turn off the AP when shutting down after a flight. Otherwise the autopilot gets really confused on your next flight and does some really random weird stuff.

Looks like the long awaited update has arrived, no email yet but the download link has been updated to 0.5.6. Really looking forward to trying this later.

@NORTMAR looking forward to this coming to Xbox soon

I just did a first quick circuit with the Turbo Arrow III. Very nice additions to the tablet, especially the checklists. But I really wish the text was bigger, quite hard to read from a norrmal pilot’s perspecitve. I admit I have not read the manual yet. Is there any way to increase the font size?

I think the problem of small font on tablets is a problem with SU12, not with JustFlight. SU 12 broke every VR pop-up tablet just when they were becoming available. I was starting to enjoying Sky4Sim, Navigraph, Little Navmap, etc., then along comes SU12 and makes them nearly unusable. I was hoping this mod would be an exception. I’m very frustrated.

I don’t understand how they missed the really really ugly textures of the red overhead light…
