New Release: NextGen Simulations' Embraer EMB-110 Bandeirante

I reworked my mod for the bandeirante. The Bandeirante is a great plane (in generall). Sound is way better now after patch 1.5.0. But some things are still off in my opinion. I bought me the POH too^^, like others here and I tried to bring the Bandeirante closer to the performance she should have.

My Mod has some cosmetic modules (Black Cockpit, White Gauges and Blue Lighting) but the most important things are

a) the NH Gauge Fix - NH gauge should show the RPM of the Props in %. With my Mod they do. So now you can set NH according to the POH to 100% at Takeoff, to 91% at Climb and Approach and to 83 % in Cruise and Descent.

b) a modified flight model
- appr. 30% more thrust
- appr. 8 % more torque
- adjusted drag (parasite & induced)
- adjusted Flaps (drag/lift)
- Flaps 1 is 25% now, instead of 20%
- adjusted fuel flow

Aircraft can now perform takeoffs with short Ground Rolls like she should.
You now can easily over-torque, so you have to watch the limits (1795 ft lb for 100% NH, 1840 ft lb for 91% NH and 1970 ft lb for 83% NH. Climb Rates are higher now.
The aircraft is still not 100% on POH performance, but I dont have more time to invest in this. But in my opinion it is way closer to the POH then without the mod.

Here is a video in which I use my mod. It is in german, but you can see the short takeoff roll and the climb rates.

I also reworked my checklist/procedures for the bandeirante to be closer to the original POH. I still make the checklist sometimes intentionally differ from RL checklist, to account for the fact, that we are flying in a simulator. You find engine limits and some shortend performance values on the pdf.

And another thing a haven´t advertised in the forums yet I believe. I am making status bars for some aircraft, which show some vital aircraft parameters on a black bar. The bar is a desktop gauge for the payware Axis and Ohs and you can move it to the top or the bottom as you like. But please read the instructions carefully, this is no common mod for the community folder. There is a free demo version of axis and ohs available in case you just wanna try it.

Looking forward to trying out your mod!

I think I owe you at least one beer, as your checklist translation notes were the only way I figured out what the gauges/controls in Tante Ju were…

(Meine Deutsche ist very very bad.)

I use almost every mod you make. The axis and ohs bars, I couldn’t do without them. Your checklists are amazing and I watch all your video’s. The Bandeirante Mod is awsome. It has become now one of my favorite planes. Just like you I fly a lot of planes, hoping you will make a video of the SC Designs F16C. A grest plane in my opiinion. Thank you for all your work regarding MSFS.

Thanks for your feedback. Nice to hear, that my mods are of use for some people. The F-16 is definetely on my to do list. I already have that one and made some flights. I think it is great aircraft too.

I installed the new JD mod and it does work with my marketplace version.
At least I think so, not sure how to find out if the engines thing is working or not.
I also still use the old sound mod with the King Air sounds.
I hope the dev one day just gives us an option to switch to them on the tablet.
The plane is not all bad, it just sounds awful and is much better with the JD mod and the GTN750.
Doing a flight from Chile to Argentina right now.

If you give full throttle on the ground and standing (brakes) and you get your torque to over 1900, then the flight_model Mod shoul be active. Or you set Flaps 1 and look at the Flap gauge. If it shows still exactly 20% then the Flight_Model Mod is not active. If it shows 24/25% then the flight_model Mod is active.

Thank you for this mod. Am trying it out as I type this. Those white gauges are so nice and clear! The climb was a bit more respectable too with the extra thrust.

I’m going to keep using this mod as I feel the engine is now workling for me as opposed to having to manage the airspeed all the time on climbs. No stall like scenarios now. Throttle on ground taxiing seems to be acting more normal too. I actually really like this plane and it just got better. Now if only I could get the GTN750 to actually track on approaches. Once again thank you for sharing your mod.

It looks nice and what I saw on YouTube present it as a nice plane. Especially for the price. But I can’t get over the sound which is unchangeable on Xbox.

Not sure I’ve found a way to change the sound on the PC either. By far the most annoying sound to me it right at the end when I’m parked up at the gate and I shut everything down. Switch to external view and try hitting CTRL-SHIFT-E to shutdown and it makes this sound that is downright horrible to listen to and sounds either unrealistic or lacking quality. It’s not so bad internally. I don’t really care about the other sounds they seem ok to me on this v1.5 version. I have no idea how they sounded before to compare.

Exterior sounds I can ignore. But on many videos from the cockpit there is very audible looping of the engine sound. They don’t sound good to begin with and then there are issues on top. Very unpleasant to listen to unfortunately.

I woudln’t let the reports of bad sound put you off ( I really don’t mind most of the sounds), it’s a nice plane, it just lacks a bit of power on climbs (default) and can stall if you want it to climb more quickly or take your eyes off the speed during a climb. It also seems to have strange low speed/stall behaviour, but it does have a very nice looking cockpit, interior & exterior, comes in 3 variations with some liveries and works well otherwise. It’s still a bargain at the sale price.

Thing is it’s not just reports. In listened to recent YouTube videos from the Xbox version and the sound is nothing I‘m able to ignore. Unfortunately as the plane itself would be right up my alley.

I emailed Carlos before Christmas about the sounds (and a couple of other things) and they are going to be updated - obviously no dates were discussed but keep an eye on the NextGen Facebook page for news.

So this improvement mod definitely doesn’t work with the marketplace version?

I bought my EMB-110 on sale through the in sim marketplace and I can see/use the mods fine.

how do you get gtn to work with this plane

Just install the GTN and then choose it on the EFB/Tablet (the most bottom option).

A lot of these issues were given to NextGen about 9 months ago and the majority of them are hardly fixed. The sounds are still fairly abysmal and annoying. The start up “logic” is off as this was discussed. Autopilot should only be turned on when you are high above, gaining good altitube, baro set, the airframe is cleaned up from flaps/gear. Thankfully the GTN was added and the sounds were updated. But for 30+ dollars that I(we) paid for 10 or so months ago…we want our money’s worth. No excuses.
No product should be released with fake-looking textures, odd sounds, physics all over the place, AP bugs (yes, there are AP bugs) and there was even an issue with HSI not working correctly.
I don’t fly this plane any longer but I still help when I can.
Instead, I fly the Carenado Seneca which is actually modeled better and sounds better. I can’t believe I am saying this but Carenado did a good job with this plane.
That being said, Love the Milviz Porter, Kodiak, Just Flight Arrow Series, CRJ series and the Zenith STOL. I am ok to leave the EMB in the hangar until its made proper.
