New Release: NextGen Simulations' Embraer EMB-110 Bandeirante

thank you!

Actually a pretty nice surprise. Obviously, I was expecting a nice medium fidelity plane, and this is pretty much what it is. A decent-ish simulation of a cool plane that I love from the Xplane times. The cockpit actually looks really good, for some reason Youtube made it look bad in all videos I saw. The only gripe I have with it is the flight model, not sure what was modified there, but it feels too light and without enough inertia, very susceptible to winds, plus the pitch behavior feels excessive to me.

But what do I know, I’m not a EMB110 pilot, maybe that’s how it flies :stuck_out_tongue: The rest besides the flight model, which is subjective, is a strong 4/5 in this plane class for me. Oh, and the weather radar looks great and works great, very useful for a plane that doesn’t go above clouds.

Now if NextGen would just provide us a better quality sound set for this bird, the 110 would certainly be in my top 10. But alas, since we don’t have access to flightsim.to, guess we (on XBOX) are stuck with these engine sounds which, with all due respect to the dev, are just godawful since they’re non wwise and have some of the worst looping I’ve heard since FS95.

FTSim+ , via Paetron subscription, is THE source for sound files. They have a nice EMB-110. Well worth it.

Thanks for the response! However, I’m on Xbox so that’s an unfortunate impossibility.

It’s such a great aircraft but the sound set really kills it for me.

The only way to really deal with it (provided you’re not a fly from 3rd person sort of pilot) is to turn on Headphone Simulation.

At least, then, it isn’t in the forefront when flying from the cockpit.

I’ve removed it only because the sounds are so impossibly bad on XB. Just put the default 350i sound set on it.

I use the headphone setting sometimes but it never seems quite right either. As much as I adore the SR22T, governed props on long flights can be a bit ‘one note’.

Anyone knows what the changes of v1.6.2 are?

Here:

The EMB-110 Bandeirante version 1.6.2 is now available! As of the time of posting this announcement, the update is now available on Simmarket. Just Flight, iniBuilds Store and the in-game Marketplace will follow.

Below is the changelog for this emergency patch (under Maintenance mode) addressing Sim Update 15 compatibility:

  • NEW! Added full support for the PMS50 GTN750 on Xbox. This instrument is embedded on the Xbox package only. The PC package remains unaffected by this change, as the PC package interfaces with the GTN750 downloadable online from PMS50’s website.

  • Added a custom GTX330ES display instrument based on the stock one from the sim, with upgraded visuals (fonts) matching the ones from the real-life instrument, as well as the missing flight ID page added.

  • Improved font size on WASM-based VSI gauge for better readability.

  • The EFB now reports the current version number of the sim. This can be found on the About page, below the product’s version number.

  • Updated APGA code and KAS297 display instrument code, due to an issue in the sim where H: events sent between HTML/JS-based instruments were not correctly processed after a flight restart.

  • Fixed a code bug where the small needle of the ENG #2 Ng gauge did not correctly spin under certain circumstances.

  • Recompiled WASM-based digital VSI, using SU15’s SDK, to enable the WASM memory improvements from this Sim Update.

  • Updated user manual, both outside (on our website) and inside the product’s package (PC ONLY).

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • As always, for PC users, please make sure the PMS50 GTN750 and/or the TDS Sim Software GTNXI are up to date and that you have the latest available release, before updating the product, in order to avoid conflicts with these avionics add-ons and the product. Below are the current version numbers, as of the date of posting this announcement, for the 3rd-party GPS instruments supported on the product:
    PMS50 GTN750: 2.2.30
    TDS GTNXI Pro: 1.1.0.2

  • Also, if you have the PMS50 WT GNS compatibility patch installed, because you use another aircraft that still use the old GNS instrument instead of the WT one, please make sure you have the latest available version to avoid conflicts with the GPS units.

Thank you for keeping this plane actively updated, unlike too many other developers.

I’m not the developer.

You can join NexGen’s Discord and thank Carlos there.

He is a very kind man and one of the good ones.
