New release: Pyreegue Motorworks: Traffic & Transport (Europe) (FS2024)

Well, I certainly didn’t see this coming…!

You’d imagine it’d be similar but superior to 4Simmer’s traffic replacement tool, having the Pyreegue name attached. This seems to go a step further, in replacing default airport GSE as well as vehicles in public parking lots. I’m not sure what ‘special scenery vehicles’ are, though — the FAQ explicitly states that any custom vehicles included with third-party scenery will be untouched.

I like the sound of this. Although I don’t use many autogen airports, some 3rd party airports in my collection will definitely benefit from it.

This looks awesome!

This looks great - now su4 is out and looking more stable I’m hoping better road traffic and trains etc will start to get some development attention, either first or third party

Looks like it won’t be the cure all I was hoping for.

I bought Invercargill recently and was really disappointed with some of the airside vehicles. Pyreegue’s mod has replaced some of the monstrosities, but not all. I presume the airport devs used a combination of default and non-default models? An example below, there’s quite a few of the old models still dotted around the buildings and some in the carpark. Still, it’s a massive difference.

EDIT: I’ve just flown around with the drone cam, the LODs work beautifully, really seamless and effective.

@EnjonUK thanks for your feedback. This monstrosity appears to be “Traffic_TruckUtility”. The base library typically contains two variants for each vehicle model:

Standard Variant: Base model (no prefix).

“Traffic” Variant: Super low-quality model (prefixed with “Traffic_”).

MWR replaces the standard vehicle variants through simple model swapping. The lower-quality “Traffic” variants are code-locked and cannot be replaced directly, instead traffic is replaced using SPB Living World scripts. But this script-based replacement method cannot affect the “Traffic” prefixed models that have been manually placed by a developer in custom scenery. This explains why the low-quality van remains unmodified by MWR.

Why the developer spawned this traffic model I am not sure, may have been an oversight.

@JakTrax78 “Special scenery vehicles” refers to vehicles within the base library that developers manually place (spawn) using the in-sim object menu when creating custom scenery.

These are not the same as the automatically generated (“auto-gen”) traffic that moves dynamically on roads (which MWR replaces via SPB scripts).

A good example of MWR capabilities is hand-crafted EGFF Cardiff that comes with FS24.

Thanks for the explanation, much appreciated. I think I’ll send this info to the dev of Invercargill and see if they’ll change it.

If yours replace the dynamic vehicles should settings for vehicles be ultra or high?

It works as usual and only affects the amount of vehicles spawned by the sim.

Any plans on something global?
