Available from IniBuilds and SoFly’s own store, for the exact same price (including a launch discount). Now, I might be putting two and two together and getting five here, but I suspect this is actually the Skyhigh Studios version, now marketed and released by SoFly. If it isn’t… we have a third LHBP on the way!
One anomaly I do note is the old Malev 762 hulk near the tower is in fact a 321 in SoFly’s version. In LH’s, it’s properly modelled. Personally, I’m sticking with LH’s, given that they’re Hungarian and therefore likely more passionate about the project.
I would love to see a thorough comparison between this and LHSimulations’ own LHBP. I have the latter and it’s very good, relatively up to date as well but it would be fun to see if SoFly’s version looks better and/or offers better features.
One bug I have with the LHSimulations version is that asphalt surfaces don’t show up on G1000 screens and synthetic vision. Something’s not defined right. I’m curious about this SoFly scenery.
Having watched the stream, it looks pretty decent. Still not keen on the two Airbuses on the fire dump (they should be an ex-Malev 762 and ex-Air Ukraine 732 respectively, as in the LH version) but almost everything else looks good. There’s no doubt the terminal interiors are better than LH’s but the lack of illumination in parts is a significant oversight.
The current launch price is great if you don’t have a version already, but probably a bit steep when there are aspects of the LH that are arguably better. I’m sticking with what I have on this one, since the latest LH build is 2024-native.
I still think this is the Skyhigh version, taken over by SoFly.
The SoFly LHBP airport was made available on the marketplace this week and there’s already a 1-star “rating”.
For reference, there’s been only one other LHBP available, made by the Hungarian team LHSimulations. Now that they have competition, someone felt it necessary to try and discredit SoFly’s product with such a rating.
I’m ashamed to say this, but this is sometimes not below Hungarians. Whether this was a member of the other dev team or a jealous Hungarian fan, as a Hungarian myself I’m embarrassed and ashamed by this. Not to mention this throws shade on the other devs in either case which I’m sure is undesireable for them.
For clarification, I don’t have this airport, I don’t know if it’s better or worse than LHSimulations’ product. In fact I’m using that one in my sim. Still, I find this behaviour unacceptable.
(And no, I will never think this first “review” is genuine.)
I own both versions and I prefer SoFly’s rendition. But SoFly generally gets a lot of hate for no apparent reasons. It reminds me of RDPresets who allegedly quit the business. I own almost all SoFly’s airports and I like them a lot.
Bristol looks quite nice but it’s inaccurate, and a lot of the airfield has been neglected. I can sum it up this way: what’s good is pretty good, while what’s bad is pretty bad. Shame PilotPlus never updated theirs as I imagine it would be by far the better version in 2026.
If you don’t know the airport particularly well, I dare say you’ll like SoFly’s. It’s not exactly terrible.
