Hi All, Iā€™m James T, used to be a user of MS FS2004 way way back. Back then I worked with the great Bill Melichar to bring users the updated Bora Bora / French Polynesia coastlines, scenery and land class. It was all done using different freeware tools back then and took me nearly a hundred hours to do it by hand using maps / top down screenshots / grids. It is great to see the inspiration this had on the new MSFS scenery.

Hi all, first time joining a flight sim forum. Iā€™m Horus, been playing MSFS since I was a kid although havenā€™t played for a number of years. Recently got msfs 2020 through PC game pass.

Must say Iā€™m thoroughly enjoying it so far, and getting back into the cockpit. Hereā€™s to thousands of hours more enjoyment, cheers! :beers:

Hi, I have been flying sims like this since the Apple ][ days in the 1980s, flying out of (now no longer there) Meigs Field in Chicago, IL using nothing but a keyboard and lo-res line graphics. How far Simulators have come!

Aside: is there a keyboard shortcut to Raise the Landing Gear? I see ā€˜Ctl-Gā€™ to lower the gear, but only a toggle ā€˜Gā€™ that will alternately raise/lower the gear. A Gear Up keystroke would be fantastic, as I can then map that on my Stream Deck

You should be able to map that command in the controls menu

Thanks Rich - lived in Seattle for many years, but never made it to Alaska - still on ā€œThe Listā€ though! As I canā€™t post in regular forums yet, have you found a shortcut for discrete landing gear commands, ie gear-up and gear-down, vs just gear-toggle?

If not, when I have full post privileges, I will add as a feature request.

Good morning Kuyper. Iā€™m using the Thrustmaster HOTAS One. I chose the thumb button on Throttle.
Not sure what youā€™re using.
Go into the sim, at the main screen. Upper right hand corner, ther are 4 circles. Click on the 2nd from right, it says friends. At top it say add, click on it add my gamertag. Gloomylake935.

Iā€™ve traded my Xbox s in for an X series! So Iā€™m not going to be on for awhile. Will add you when I get the X! Selling my Dell PC, gonna buy 2 tb exspansion card.

Hi, i am Mosu and just got and downloaded MSFS 40th anniversary normal edition! Been having some trouble with actually posting so please if anyone can help itā€™d be nice.

I also am a fan of planes because plane superiority.
