Hi,
I am playing MSFS2020 on a brandnew PC i9 4070TI 64GB with an old joystick Saitek AV8R-03 for PS3. Plan to buy Logitec Transponder/Radio/AP/Power-Direction.
I want to try FS to be able to fly in bad weather with confidence and master VL3.
I tried FS2020 but find joystick reaction crazy. When pulling if you do not counter act, it will continue to climb and go up which is not the reaction of a real VL3. I am a newbie on simulation but have my own real VL3 with more than 200 hours on it. It is really more easy in real life than with FS2020.
I guess it is a misconfiguration of the joystick which I had to configure manually. I find it strange that it is not automatically configured in FS2020. Maybe Xplane 12 is better (only older xplane version on iPads).
Basically I do not want to take bad habits with FS2020 that would endangered my real VL3 flight time ā¦
Hopes that I did not disturb you with my commentaries.
Have had FlightSim since 2020 on new PC build, but (gulp!) havenāt gotten past training (too busy). Now Iāve updated to latest version and ready to fly. I really need help in the flight training part (for example, what is A2 button ⦠on Saitek (Logitech) Yoke)? And ready to learn more about all controls.
Hello! I am @SimXplorer !

I have been flying flight simulator in 14 years. I started exploring FSX when i was 9 year old and i found fast out i loved it. 14 years- and a unknown amount of money later, here i am 23 years old and has moved on to MSFS and i love it more than ever!
Hello Xplorer.

been playing MSFS way back. back when MSFS would say your sim rate. Now it doesnāt say your sim rate⦠was a thing in the older MSFS that if you ever above or below normal sim speed it would tell you at what rate and now it doesnāt. very sad
The calibration of the joystick could be an issue but it could also be that elevator trim is a solution to the problem.
If you fly a real VL-3 and it feels very different I think the information you have on the flight characteristics of the real plane could be valuable. So just feel free to share or discuss this in the appropriate forum category. Archives > Default Aircraftvl-3
Yea I know what you mean. Are you on PC? Then Iād suggest looking at a mod called āShift-Z statsā this will show you many things along with the sim-rate.
Hello! I just started playing with MSFS this past summer. I had an old Logitech joystick that wasnāt recognized by MSFS I imagine it was past its best before date (like me). So I decided to buy a Logitech X56 setup. This worked quite well right out of the box but I found it inaccurate. That might have been just me. I decided to return it and decided to go a little more high end. I bought the VKB Ultimate IV MCG stick and Stecs standard throttle. I confess, I was initially in over my head but Iām figuring it out. This stick and throttle are amazing. It is so precise and accurate. But then what do I know? Iām just starting out. I do feel like Iāve made the right choice though. If anyone out there has this setup and doesnāt mind sharing what they use for key bindings, Iād sure appreciate it.
