, so any base station would be fine or are we talking about an specific base station for the Varjo Aero?
Itâs not specific to the varjoâŠ.they use standard steam/htc base stations (1.0 or 2.0). They sell them in the varjo website but here in USA where I am the price is cheaper on Amazon so I bight them there. One base station will work from what Iâve seen on the YouTube tester videos but 2 will give you better coverage behind you when looking all the way aroundâŠ.so itâs another expense for the varjo aero that could be as much as $500 if you donât have them already (I didnât as I use a reverb g2 now with inside out tracking built into the headset).

Yeah thankfully I have the Lighthouse 2.0 Tracking System that came with my Index so I am good to go for when the Aero arrives. Really looking forward to it, hopefully not too much longer now.
Does anyone know whether delivery time will ever be normal (few days) rather than âsome time in the next 3-4 monthsâ?
Im not ruling out an impulse buy, especially if it got a little cheaper, but thatâs no fun at all when you then need to wait 3+ months!!

I would be really Interested in a brief performance comparison between G2 and Aero. Initially I thought the Aero wouldnât be worth it till we get new GPUs, but apparently it can actually have slightly better performance than the G2 as it doesnât need to compensate for barrel distortion via even higher resâŠ
Anyone else have experience with this?

Around end of year /first of year was what they initially said. I pre-ordered on Day 1 so hopefully not too much longer now.
You are not alone. The delivery time is the only thing keeping me from taking the plunge at the moment. If I have to wait, Iâd rater keep my money in the meantime.
They have not taken my money yet, that will be when it is ready to ship. They do an authorization on the card to be sure it will go through but that falls off in a few days.
Systemactive in the uk took my money when i 1st made the order a few weeks ago.
I thought the lead time has always been 3 to 4 months? So if u ordered in the last week or so of october, youâll be waiting till last week of jan or feb?

Iâve checked with several European retailers and the consensus seems to be that there is a first batch to be expected around mid-January for those who pre-ordered early.
Hope so, I pre-ordered on day 1 and have not received any further communication from them yet - other than the initial order confirmation.
I ordered day one and just got an email stating delivery within the next 2 weeks, Good news.

Will they always have a 3-4 months lead time, or is it only for pre-orders? I mean after they fulfilled the preorders will I be able to order it with it being in stock?
Yes eventually theyâll just be in stock so when you order youâll get one within a few days, atleast thats how it usually works with these things. Same thing happened with HP and Pimax headsets.
I ordered first day as well and have not heard anything. I keep hoping I will wake up in the morning and see a shipping notification. Can hardly wait to experience it!
I am getting a little discouraged seeing some Europeans already receiving their devices and no word on my end yet. I got in early on day 1 of pre-order. I guess Varjo wanted to take care of others first.
To be fair, Varjo IS European so shipping to there must be quicker�
