anyone else getting the message above in some of the things in the content page its only come up today for me it def wasnt tere yesterday

Yes. Everyone should be getting that message. It means that the specific content cannot be downloaded until that update has been released.

Got that message 2 hrs ago, and I am only halfway through the “update”, I have only a 100mb internet connection. How much does the sim require??
It’s Saturday and servers are busy…
But Downloads can be slow overall sometimes. Add to that, the download files are compressed and need to be decompressed and they are huge. Takes time.
Thanks for that. But I am getting frustrated. It finally finished. So I click continue, and we get a blank and the sim restarts. I have 3 monitors, and it starts only on the left monitor. ALT+ENTER and try to grab a corner to pull it across. Done that. Finally starts and guess what? i have only 2 airplanes. Go to content manager and only 1 [don’t remember the name] is up to date. Just finished ticking every other item in content manager. So it has started on this update. Whew!! Wait a lot longer and see what happens next.
Why do we [I] have to go thru all this?? I am tired.

Tell me about it. I was having a few crash to desk tops so I went to steam and did a Verify Integrity of Game Files it said all was ok. Loaded sim and I had to re download the whole 96gb. It took me all night. When’s down at 5am ad great it finished. Loaded game fine when to contents and it wanted to download all again another 35gb. A few hours passed and this afternoon it finished. The good thing is the sim runs like a dream but what a pain. Good luck. R
Hi “alittlegaming”! So I am back after another hour, i had ticked all of the items marked as needing an update. Looks like it has finished. I rebooted the computer and the sim. As soon as the sim loaded, it checked for updates. The installation manager popped up. A few items needed decompressing. The sim went to work and then stalled out at “decompressing KSFO san francisco”. Its stuck there, no movement for 10 minutes. I closed everything down, rebooted again, started the sim. Same result. It is stuck on SFO. No no flying for me tonight, probably not tomorrow, or who knows how many days? Maybe until the next big update. Guess I will spend the next week or so reading. Needless to say I am pis#ed.
do you all get crashes to desktop with an empty community folder? I found that there are MANY mods especially liveries airplanes that just flat out aren’t compatible with this version of MSFS. I deleted some , reinstalled newer versions, one at a time, and found some were good, some crash the sim, or make the content manager NOT work at all. I have some quality liveries installed, though not many, that seems to work right now with the current sim version. Main thing to do is make sure the community folder is carefully loaded with files that work properly.

HI I have been one of the lucky one’s with the sim so far with not to many crashes. When we had the last sim update I started to get a few. I did read about some liverys and mods not been Good with the last update so I took them all out. I only had the latest a320 mod in but when I was kept getting the new crashes I thought I would see if Verify Integrity of Game Files on steam would help. I did not think it would ask me to do a re install of the game when I started it up. The only good thing for me is that so far the sim is working like a dream, smooth and stable . My community folder now only has the a320 mod a few updated liverys for the a320 and the airports that I have brought. Thanks for your help. R
So guys, after letting the sim run for more than 6 hours and no movement away from asobo-airport KSFO, with no Mbs showing as having been decompressed, what do you suggest that I do? Choices I guess are wait for the next big update in a week or two; or remove MSFS and do a fresh download of the full program??
It’s a hard one but maybe do a new install. I have been on the sim alot today and did not have one crash. I have the airports that I brought and the a320 mod with a few liverys. When I did my re install it took all night and then I went to my contents in the sim and had to download another 35gb and many more hours. It’s hard to say what to do but if you wait till the next update you may have to do a re install anyway. I wish you luck but my one is playing alot better at the moment.R
Sorry you could also try to reboot the pc and the if you can untick the airport that it is not loading and see if it updates the rest and if if does fab then wait till next update then try again. Or you could try to remove are airport folder that is not loading and that may make it download it right. If no good maybe go for the new install. R
