Night lights above the ground in latest world update 6

That is how programming works, sometimes there is a line of code used for two different and unrelated things (ex: maybe the slider for the precache) and when you change it in one place, the other breaks.
So maybe when they change the code to add the slider for the caché the slider from rendering scaling broke.

It is just an example I invented, not what really happened

That is not render scale 100, it is above, that is why lights are floating, check you have not set your user.cfg file to read only.

To fail is human and happens to everybody, thats ok.

That such massive bugs slip through the quality control not only once or twice justified to ask how this control is organized. Ok?

I imagine they are all using render scaling 100 in the office, which is what 99% of people have, and that is why this very noticeable bug escaped xD

Yeah render scale 100 will fix it.. above 100 you have floating lights and below 100 you have no light i.e. sunken lights.

So if your system can handle it VR or no VR you can fly with render 100 for now, if not, dont fly at night.

Also seems to be an ingress of trees and bushes on some airports now.

Maybe you are right, but if so, why is renderscale set to 80 by default after the update?

Hmm what I’m seeing as a fix is if you are during the sunset/evening and night, configure the render scale to 100% (this is indeed fixing the issue)

and if you are flying during the day, you can configure to other number. For example I’m keeping it during the day flights at 135/140 depends of the area. My computer is not handling OK in big cities 150/140/135.

Sure, but there’s also quality control which is something that Asobo still hasn’t figured out yet. They’re getting better, but it’s been ridiculously painful to watch along the way.

That is true hahaha with WU VI they took it more seriously, lets hope once they add the feature for beta patches the process is smooth

EDIT: I just took one more photo taking off

Night lighting wasn’t that great to begin with. The lights are much too big and repetitive. I never fly at night anyways and will wait for that big update they promised in the future.

I know that night lighting and airport lighting improvements are on the radar and will come here sooner or later, I’m really looking forward to more-realistic long distance night flying.

You have to be joking…

I just noticed this :frowning:

Also I noticed the lights get erased as you approach them and then reappear behind the airplane as you fly along. Hope this gets patched soon as it really spoils night flying.

These are some floating lights at EHHS and render scale = 100 does not fix them for me.
