This issue was not occuring during beta testing.

All points to a weather hosting or weather to MSFS mechanism prior to the SIM to me. Chances of getting it resolved over the weekend… low I’d guess … sadly.
Someone needs to be looking at SLA’s of hosting or weather injection mechanism

I doubt it’s related to the AAU1 reslease that caused this issue. That was released 5 days ago.
I’ve been flying every day since it’s release and only started having this issue yesterday.

Update: sry if I could also report weather change here at LKTB, it changed without problems, noticed this a few seconds before. What is interesting with that change, it clears all weather for cca 2s. and then inject new more scattered clouds so looks like at my side all is working, and if I ommit that precipitations as METAR web shows, it is ok.
Update2 important: now I discovered interesting thing, I went to up toolbar weather and set there presets clear weather with that switch Real weather. After switch back to Real/Live weather clear sky persists and looks like I need wait again 15 min for weather

I saw interesting, weather changed to that expected broken as METAR shows and right after 2s changed back to clear. Better say this is actual state here in LKTB:

I don’t think it was the update itself. I was running the final version as a beta tester for weeks, and there were no problems with the weather. The last beta version is identical to the public release version.
This appears to be a problem with the servers.

Like I said I’m not hopeful for a resolution till the next working week when they investigate the hosting services.
I hope to be proved wrong.

For me, only work wind and temperature. QNH doesn’t work (is static in Q1013) and I have no clouds.

It’s BACK for me !
I prepared a flight in the city I live in and looked at the sky from my window and it’s the same. Go to your city in MSFS and look out your window! 
It is very very tiring and disappointing for two months chasing live weather with help of other software and today, that the half planet facing the same problem Asobo/MS have nothing to say about.
The “investigating” status means nothing to me, because they discover it today letting pass two critical months.
I am looking for an official answer, because i dont believe that they can fix the issue.

Where’s the official comment from Microsoft?
Where’s updates on where they are in the investigation?
If things keep dropping (weather service) then they must investigate further and a root cause analysis of what caused the issue to prevent it happening again.

The most hilarious of all, its that the weather its just a decoding of a single metar line.
It seems to be intermittent. Occasionally I will succeed in getting an injection of live weather that is accurate. I suspect that is why some people have success with a vpn. For me, it does not seem vpn dependent when I get live weather. However, typically when I do get live weather, I lose it after 20-30 minutes.

I flew from Dundee today and live weather was injected after few minutes only. Started a new flight from main menu, no live weather. New flight again, this time clear skies as preset, changing to live weather in the flight, clear skies again, where there were supposed to be clouds. I swapped from Northern Europe server to Western Europe, no change. Cleared rolling cache, no change.

No weather for me western europe server this afternoon 2.00pm-4.30pm UT. Strangely surface pressure seemed to be working (it changed from 29.92), but weather was all clear skies everywhere in UK.

Load in to CYUL Montreal and it starts at +20C A2992 … but as I pushback, it changes to -25C A3056, but still clear blue skies and no snow. Then after about 5 minutes, snow appears. However, the temperature change seems to be affecting the Longitude engines, so I’m leaving the planes in the hangar today.
