Non Functioning EFB in VR

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
• I am having the same issue. No ability to click on the EFB in VR. I wanted to use the checklist in the Draco .

I am not sure why the mounted the EFB on copilot side. We need it mounted on the pilot side so we can see it like it is in the Airbus.

…or at least provide an option in settings, so that you can choose for yourself or even choose to turn it off altogether?

If mounted on the left side of small aircraft, it may obstruct the pilot view especially in VR. I would suggest being able to remove and attach it on any side and on the yoke like C172 in X-Plane. Also to be able to hide it when not needed by pressing a key and reattaching it by clicking on any mounting spot.

I’m using all-in-one tab and you can move this around freely but you cannot dock it, meaning it follows you around also in walk mode - not sure if it can be toggled with a key.

The game is unplayable in VR until the EFB is fixed. Proves that not a single person tested VR during development. Amazing.

Same issue. EFB is unreadable/unusable in its current form. Being told to use the stopwatch during career mode and not being able to interact with the stopwatch buttons is infuriating even if you can find the right page of the EFB.

Unfortunately this wasn’t fixed in today’s patch 1.2.7.0.

Yep, VR is just as broken as on day one. But have some liveries for an unflyably broken aircraft. Yay.

Wasn’t VR supposed to be a main topic in today’s fix? EFB still unplayable, mouse randomly stops interacting with the cockpit (day 1 bug as well), if you move out of VR and you go back the screen goes black and everything freezes, I’m starting to lose faith in the seriousness of the team

This patch proved they do not care about VR at all. It is in unusable state and there’s not even a single fix to make it correct. I’ve lost my faith as well, unfortunately… Nobody expected all issues to be fixed but even not a single VR fix?..

didnt Asobo claim they have VR all over ???
i bet nobody even touched a VR headset since ages.

The claimed abundance of VR headsets, among the developers, are apparently mounted on the wall, as just a reminder of a medium that they might have once cared about.

I am deeply disappointed that VR has been completely ignored in the latest patch. According to MS/Asobo, VR is supposed to be a big step forward compared to FS2020. At the moment, it feels more like a giant step backward.

Latest patch - EFB works in VR those planes that have it mounted. No joy for the others. Perhaps some method to select it to be available hard mounted in a selected plane?

The mounted ones worked for me before the patch as well :slightly_smiling_face:

Same here. It’s disappointing.
So there is no way to use checklists in VR?

• This is unacceptable. Asobo need to get this working and apply a hot patch. It is unreasonable to expect us VR fliers to wait now until the next scheduled patch! As suggested above, this could not have been tested, otherwise it would be a quick bugfix, and that is shameful.

Its not a quick bug fix, as they said during the live stream. The EFB bug spans across several bugs they are working on. The EFB is also non functional as a popout in pancake mode as well. They stated during the live stream that the EFB bug, the Toolbar bug and a couple other bugs are all related to the same source. They were actively working on a fix to it. I am assuming that it is a more difficult bug than just being able to do a “quick fix” They seem to be aware of it and are working on it.

Patience is needed even if the bug is the most freaking annoying thing I personally face at the moment in the Sim.

Asking for patience is logical but not very realistic. Microsoft and Asobo are charging a premium price for a product that should essentially have an ‘early access’ label. These kinds of bugs are typically encountered during beta testing, but that clearly didn’t happen here.

As far as I’m concerned, everyone is fully within their rights to push Microsoft and Asobo to come up with a quick solution.

I agree. Major issue in VR and it should have some sort of priority since it was in top 10 voted bugs as of last week. The fact that they did not fix one thing in VR for this patch tells me that Asobo/Microsoft don’t care about the VR community on this sim. The same thing has been a repeated problem in MSFS 2020 over the past four years.
