My climb profile to FL 450:

Takeoff, manual throttle, accelerate to max 250 below 10K AGL or as directed by ATC or SID chart using VS mode @ +2000-3000 FPM depending on weights. Above 10K AGL manually/slowly accelerate to 280 or per SID (you can set AT at this point if desired). At or above 18K I activate AT set at 280, then engage FLC. When at M .75, change AT to Mach control setting all the way up to FL450. Very smooth climb profile without stressing the engines. Cruise ~ M0.8. Note that this profile is also payload dependent. Also note using Working Title G3K 0.7.4a mod.

First off, you have to change the speed selector to manual, not FMC. Then you have to tune in the speed you’re gonna be working with, say, between 185 and 250, depending on the nature of the departure. For instance on some SID charts, you have an initial turn that requires a max speed of 210, so set the speed initially at 210, and after crossing that speed limit, increase to 250. The AT could be engaged at takeoff roll, and will go max power until it reaches that initial speed (210 in this instance), then it will retard the throttles to maintain this.

At 28,000 feet it does not want to go past 270 knots and the the engine is doing a weird over stress protection and max power, when at 28k it should not be having these issues.

That’s not due to the modification.

That’s due to the high outside temperature bug that happens often with the new update (should be fixed in the next days with hotfix).

My “workaround” is to just stay at FL22 or so and stay at 300kn speed so that even with absurdly high temperature I can keep that speed

I stay at 300 coz once the temperature spike randomly ends you suddenly speed up and can easily overstress and be kicked out of the flight.

Or you could disable live weather until the upcoming hotfix and fly at full potential.

I disagree it is not due to the modification. I took it out and the plane fly’s fine at 280. But it could have something to do with the other bug as well.

Assume that we are expecting close-to-real-life readings and engine performance offer by this wonderful mod.
Applying this was fine in the past 6 months, and then temp settings get bugged after SU5, it will be obviously the problem pending for Sim hotfix.

If you fly vanilla C700 in MSFS you get another performance curve, that is totally another calculation.

The temperature bug is not always, it happens random.
Maybe the second time you tried, you just were lucky and didn’t have the temperature bug

Did you check the outside temperature?

Regardless, the temperature bug is a known thing, and it is also known that high temperature at FL28 will destroy your engine performance.

I was able to run the 1.85 mod after SU5 but now since hot fix 2… it freezes the simulator… no other mod or scenery except Working Title… working title by itself works fine…. 1.85 mod by itself without working title freezes simulator. Pull 1.85 out of the community folder… simulator runs fine

Hmmm, I have no similar issue (and it’s nice being able to fly it in live weather now) and haven’t seen other reports like yours. Perhaps try to re-download fresh and reinstall.

Oh I agree… I love your mod… it’s my favorite of every mod out there… I tried redownloading and reinstalling a few times now… I’ll give it another shot this evening… I was just made aware of the whole “load to low graphics, then to ultra” bug… which is also been a problem. Darkfly… I have never had one issue with this sim before SU5… not even a momentary glitch… but now it’s bug central! I’m certainly not blaming you or any 3rd party mod for this fiasco.

Hi there,
does anyone have an AAO template or even a script to share for the CL?

I’m experiencing something that I don’t know if it’s because of the Mod, the GT3000 or they together in MSFS. So, in the center panel, everything works but the map. Sometimes the map is completely frozen during the whole flight, sometimes it freezes out of nowhere, in this case, to “defreeze” the map I must zoom in and out really quickly or alternate between map and weather map, still then the map ends up freezing. Obviously, this behaviour started with the latest MSFS updates. Has anyone experienced it? :man_facepalming:

I am using the latest Longitude Mod with Update V. I cannot get my spoilers to either arm or to activate. My flaps and all other controls work great but the spoilers in my preflight will not extract or retract. I normally use the / key. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I got the altimeter in the longitude to work. Where you turn the knob and depress the altimeter, i keep on depressing the knob for the auto tune of the barometer in real weather, I use Rex, eventually the barometer will settle and read. The draw back is once you use a keyboard command such as the B key, it resets back to the wrong reading again.

Is it “normal” that when using FLC, AT respect the max 95% n1, if climbing with VS it just goes full throttle in the red at 100% ?

Spoilers work for me. Either by clicking “arm” or using hotas commands. I do use 3 separate keys, though. For arming, deploy and retract. I remember toggle was mentioned as bugged. Test without toggle.

It means your VS rate setting is exceeding the AT air speed setpoint. Your engines are trying to maintain airspeed but unable without redlining due to excessive VS. Try lowering your VS.
