I understand simmers wanting full immersion and capability for study level aircraft, but the Asobo-default planes still work for the most part after some bug fixes, even if we can’t do things like test the crew oxygen or the stick shaker. The biggest challenge when actually flying is probably changing the FMC routing, which can be tricky in the default FMC vs. the real thing.
I agree. If fidelity is something that is not important to you, the default planes are the way to go.
Sometimes even an Asobo-level plane can have a learning curve, especially if you’re used to a high fidelity plane. It becomes a challenge learning what doesn’t work over discovering what does work. A hardcore simmer yeah will complain about it but a f-ing casual like myself (with a self-admitted fidelity bias) might just suck it up, fly it just to say i can fly the plane and had fun doing it. For example, fly the CS777 but only so i can get some sick screenshots.
What would you call an Airbus A220 and an E-195? They are small airliners…
Also, Learjet and Gulfstreams are brands, not aircraft types…
I think its just going to take some time and we have to be patient (which is hard).
I also think eventually we will see awesome devs like ToLiss make the jump, there is just too much potential over here to be ignoring it. Maybe we then get the A340 (yes its not small airliner).
I’m quite excited to see what Miltech come up with, as the Osprey was something completely different. Would be nice to get a Chinook when the helicopter side of the sim is in. The visuals in this sim are built for a helicopter like that.
Here is another cute little bird incoming!
And a really good-looking one we have here. The high-wing four jets design with T-tail is truly something uniqué and awesome-looking.
The JustFlight Avro RJ:
It’s so cute! It’s very similar to 737-200! That’s why I like it!
Just a heads up I switched the category from general discussion to wish list
Moving this back to #community:general-discussion-feedback as there are already Wishlist Threads created for all the requested aircraft in this post. Thanks!
Ok it appears that there’s non DO328 requests so I’ll just do that instead
What are you talking about? We have the Caravan and King Air, and they ain’t even the smallest default airliners we have (Baron, for example). We’re about to get the Beaver and DC-3 as well (not to mention the Bell 407 or whatever it is helicopter). There are also the PC-6, Ju-52, and Beech 18 which, although not default, are only $15 and are all quite valid “small” airliners. You could also make the argument that the CJ4 and Longitude are airliners, too, because what other name than “airline” do you apply to fractional ownership outfits like Netjets et al? Sometimes the line between Parts 121 and 135 gets blurry.
What I’m saying is that your perspective of “small airliners” is a bit focused on major airliners in major countries. If you expand your horizons, looking at other operators or maybe in other places, then you’ll see we have a lot of VERY small airliners
I’m kinda referring more to the small airliners from the 1980’s -1990’s era because we don’t have that much that nails those years
quite the bit of a stretch of an argument, but i see your point. I’d meta them as like some futuristic Dash 8 something idk…
