You might be right about this, I don’t know. Here is the latest official statement I’ve found about this:

However I don’t believe this has anything to do with Asobo wanting or not. It seems most if not all decisions are solely handled and funneled by Microsoft, or at least, this is what I feel when watching the Q&A videos. It might just be me feeling this way though because every topic I read a blame, it is against Asobo mostly, and I feel quite embarrassed for Sebastian and Martial every time.
