NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 531.41 Discussion

I am using a 1070 GPU, I initially had terrible stutters after the simulator update 12. I fixed the problem and installed the 531.41 driver. My simulator is running amazingly well with no stutters at all on my last flight around Vancouver in bad weather. I think this is due to improvements to the simulator and not the new driver. As soon as I installed the new release of FSUIPC and cleared out my shader cache and DirectX cache, the stutters went away. The simulator is a joy to use without stuttering. I am assuming updating FSUIPC was the key to my fix?

Charles.

Yesterday i had installed this new driver 531.41, this caused me a crashing game. Returned to a previous driver. I have a RTX 3080.

After installing the new driver I had the “Your graphics device has encountered a problem and Microsoft Flight Simulator will exit” error on my first flight after about 30 minutes. Reverted to 531.29 and no error since. RTX 3080 10G

NVidia driver 531.41 on RTX 2060.

No issues.

I just use standard express install w/out GeForce Experience. No need to use anything else.
Have custom NVidia settings for MSFS.

Latest driver version 531.41 with RTX3060 12gb.

Using DX12 mode.

Very smooth performance, no problems with it at all.

Standard installation after DDU of older driver, without geforce experience.

Amazingly, I am not getting any hint of stutters so far. Something has changed dramatically. I am flying with FS Traffic around CYVR and EIDW in the Airbus A330 C150, Honda Jet. New version of FSUIPC, patch 12 and the new Nvidia driver. Although I did not experience the benefits immediately after the recent sim update, I am experiencing much better performance because of a possible optimisation of the simulator in the new patch.

Charles.

I had the same , virus warning when downloading the driver from Guru. no problem the scanner removed the file

Same here…ctd with the latest driver (your graphics device has encountered a problem…) so I reverted to 531.29 and now it is running perfect, no crashes (rtx3070)

Since updating to 531.41 yesterday, I’ve been getting this error within minutes of starting a flight (sometimes before clicking “Fly Now”), every time, resulting in a crash to desktop. Thought it might have been the AN-2 initially, but I’ve recreated the problem in a T-6, too.

Tried reinstalling 531.41 - no joy.

Rolled back to 528.02 (what I had on hand) and have just done some circuits with no issues. Going to try 531.29 later, but if you don’t hear from me - the rig either caught fire, or everything’s rosy…

RTX3080, Intel i5-8600K, 32GB DDR4, Win10 64

Happy flying <3

The 531.41 game ready driver is very nice as far as I’m concerned. Installed without GeForce and I ticked the clean install box. Anyone still having issues may need to clear their shader cache or failing that maybe a DDU before reinstalling the driver.

I did that with RTX 4090 but still make ctd , i think is filter problem

As I mentioned I don’t install GeForce (or use any other filters)

How to provide valuable feedback to NVIDIA | NVIDIA.

Yep i can confirm, even with 531.18, applying filters result in a CTD.

Same exact issue after updating to 531.41.

bugcheck when when launching VR - didn’t happen on earlier driver. seems to happen when attempting to switch to VR - not consistent though. No filters on, am using DLSS. Stack trace for anyone who can dig:

After further testing with Driver 531.41 I discovered I’m having performance issues in some games.
Also getting a lot of screen-flickering on all 3 of my monitors.
Rolled back to previous Driver and everything is back to normal.
I reported my issues to Nvidia.

Trying the new driver DX12 activated.Crash during loading into a flight. Switching to DX11 all fine. GPU 2080ti.

Hmm. =P Any specific settings in the Nvidia control panel?
