NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 531.41 Discussion

Anyone who managed to get filters working with DX12 ?
Would like to know which drivers version

528.49. They cause crashes with anything later

I’m using DX12 with 531.41 drivers on my 2070 Super GPU and the Freestyle filters are working fine for me, not had any crashes.

Maybe it’s just a particular filter? I’m using the brightness/contrast, details, and colour filters.

Man that’s pretty weird, that’s the ones i’m using actually

Did you install the defaults drivers or did you use nvcleanstall ?

Just did an express update from the previous driver.

How do I revert back my driver? I’m having the same issue

You have to reinstall the old driver again. It pays to keep the last driver that worked well in your download folder for just these cases. If you did not keep it you can find it in Nvidia beta driver and archive down loads normally.

Seems like I also have some issues with this driver. Now had multiple crashes of the driver out of the blue that have not happened before. Using a 4090 with DX12 for Frame Generation.

I reverted back to 528.24, which seems solid.
Every driver since then seems twitchy in some way, also causing BSOD outside MSFS based on my experience.

There is a new hot fix 531.38. It seems to work okay so far for me. Error | NVIDIA

The Drivers are getting worst and worst. Most drivers that are coming out are not made for MSFS that is pushing DLLS.

MSI Laptop Core i9 3080ti 32GB Ram, Ultra settings, DLSS + Dx12
Overclock crash since 531.41 update, rolled back to 531.29 fixed problem. Proceed to delete all system / Nvidia / Msfs Cache and reinstalled 531.41, still crashing, turned off MSI gaming mode, still crash, installed 531.58 quickfix, still crash, turned off nvidia filters, still crash, lower settings, still crash. Dx to 11, test in progress.

Update: 2 hours in flight and still working, it worked switching to Dx11 to me.

Update: No crash after 4 hours of flight.

I had to revert too, vr with hpreverb g 2 crashed the system when trying to apply game filters and lots of flashing on the dashboard of arrow iv, wow can nvidia ever break vr msfs 2020

I started having crashes too. Honestly, I don’t think it’s a driver issue. I think it’s just MSFS/DX12 not catching up with Nvidia’s driver updates if that makes any sense.

I play many other games with not a single issue. So wouldn’t that lead to believe that it’s MSFS that needs to get their side of DX12 to work with Nvidia’s drivers? And seeing that MSFS has not mentioned any DX12 progress since SU10, this just adds to the speculation.

Well for what it is worth i think one and other also have to do with cloudservices that cannot connect through gaming services and x box app as ive seen a lot of Hcloud, ( whatever that maybe) misses connection in windows eventviewer.
And since i reinstalled the game and rolled over to windows11 also these event i havent seen or at least a lot less. And xbox app gave suddenly a lot of updates which on windos 10 i havent seen since su 12.

Exactly what i’ve noticed as well, only have issues with msfs.

No issues with 531.41 here so far.

No, I’ve noticed NVidia drivers also causing Windows 11 to BSOD as well.
Depends on your configuration, but they are definitely in a period of driver instability atm.

No issues for me so far with the newest driver 531.58.

my issue still persistent even with newly installed driver ( 58) …
