I only flew for about an hour, but it was pretty stable and clear. I’ve also got my Quest 2 on the highest resolution and 72hz refresh. I’ll get more hours on it this weekend and let you know if it changes.
Did you do a DDU clean up to remove any residue from the previous drivers before switching back and forth?
I’ve gone back to studio 528.49 I tried the latest driver and had some glitching and a few issues with low FPS for a couple of seconds.
From 531.29 I have now installed these last 535.98, for me no problem, all ok, nothing relevant.
Windows 11 version 22H2, CPU i5-10400F, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3060.
The clean install is not good enough??
Word is that it is not sufficient to provide a ‘deep’ system clean. That is why DDU is widely recommended, especially when installing a new Nvidia/AMD GPU or rolling drivers back and forth as you have been. Once you’ve done a DDU run, then you can do ‘clean install’ for subsequent driver updates, remembering that you will need to keep a record of your NVCP settings if you want to continue to use them.
Only Nvidia driver 528.49 is STABLE on RTX 4090, DX12, using HAGS+Nvidia FILTERS and Nvidia DLSS Frame Generation ON
There are no 5 seconds pauses, and NO CRASHES only if you use Nvidia driver 528.49, which is THE LAST STABLE NVIDIA DRIVER on RTX 4090, DX12, using HAGS, Nvidia FILTERS and Nvidia DLSS Frame Generation ON !!!
I take screenshots of both my NVCP settings and MSFS '20 settings before any upgrade, driver or sim for reference. But I should mention that DDU now has a feature for saving your current NVCP settings when you uninstall the old driver and it does work, but you should note your old settings to be safe.

Did you try the freeze test? Leave HAGS on, frame gen off, DX12, TAA, 60fps. Just leave the sim in main menu for up to 40min and see if it locks up just sitting there. Let me know please.
It freezes with every driver when HAGS is on. Music plays but menu locks up. Leave the cursor in one of the menu windows so you can see when it locks up the animation stops. It happens within 15-40min or so.
That sounds like you’re just slowy heating up your PC, that includes every component on you mobo and even your PSU … don’t know it that matters here but it’s certainly why some overclock stress tests can take hours to fail.
Been using hags on from beginning of my new build. A couple weeks. Been getting great performance with 3090. 535.98 studio driver, and recent to 536.23… which is silk
I am a NOOB to NVIDIA graphics drivers - forced into this when I launched MSFS on Saturday (2023.6.24) to a message “Your graphics driver must be newer than 535.98”.
I quit MSFS, opened the GEForce widget and navigated to a “check for updates - install” - which appears to have loaded version 535.98.
Starting MSFS was accompanied by text-to-speech saying something to me that I didn’t fully understand, and MSFS presenting me with a slider suggesting maximum graphics settings. I did not realize that this was trashing my painfully tuned PC and VR Graphics settings, and even my keyboard drone camera assignment??
Luckily, I had screenshots of all my settings, and I am back up flying in 2D and 3D without issues.
Q: I see that there is a new Game Ready Driver 536.23 - since I am not detecting any issues with my setup, am I ok to wait until the next time MSFS tells me I have to update my graphics driver?
