@alexlegend Looks like you missed the important part, the fix for black screen with DisplayPort, which is important for those who have that problem (not me).

Weird thing happened when installing this driver.
I have a 4880 Super and attempted installing using the Nvidia app with Clean Install checked and for the first time Nvidia HD Audio drivers unchecked.
The first time attempting to install my screen went black. I waited and waited. Finally I shut down my computer. Fortunately, it booted into Windows normally.
I opened the Nvidia app and the install option was there and there was no need to redownload the driver.
So I attempted the install again and again my screen went black. I powered off the computer and when I powered on it booted normally.
I opened the Nvidia app and it appears the driver has been installed according to the driver release date in both the Nvidia app and Windows device manager.
I received a Windows notification my overclock settings had been reset to balanced. This has never happened before when installing a driver.
And the Nvidia Audio driver was not uninstalled.
I reinstalled the driver and this time it worked but the Nvidia Audio Driver is still showing in device manager.
I checked the Nvidia feedback forum and so far unfortunately it’s not looking good as has been the case since this new driver series was released.
This driver messed up my computer. I clicked restart and it wouldn’t do anything. So I shut the computer off, turned it on and all I saw was a spinning blue circle. I had to perform a reset on my PC.
I have no idea why this happened. I’m going back to 566.14.
Anyways I wanted to get back here and update everyone as quickly as possible and let you know my experience. Uggggggggggggg
It looks like I will be spending the day setting my computer up…lol
I installed it with Nvidia app (custom install with Physx and audio driver unchecked since I already had those), did a couple of flights and I have no problems. I have a 4070 TI Super.

Quick report about my experience on a 5800x3D CPU / 4080 GPU / 64 GB RAM CL 16-16-16 … in 4k resolution, NO nVidia APP installed … no OC on CPU/GPU, with
- Downloaded and extracted de-bloated version (containing only graphics and physx drivers) of 572.70 from here: (RTX 572.70 - Exostenza Edition™ (de-bloat) | guru3D Forums)
- Rebooted in safe mode, cleared all cache folders (nvida, windows, etc) ; deleted rollingcache.ccc file within MSFS folder
- Uninstalled driver via DDU with reboot afterwards
- Installed de-bloated version, rebooted again
- Started FS2020 and did a rebuild of the rollingchache.ccc within options/data menu
- Done a heavy scenery flight (KLAX-KSFO) at low altitude with Fenix A320 ~2h; DX12, TAA
==> everything is OK

This is my standard procedure when installing a new driver, NEVER EVER had a CTD; this may be due to using mentioned de-bloated driver package and no OC etc … was alwas very happy with this procedure and had zero problems/issues.
Only my 2ct …

It seems that you’re installing the Nvidia driver incorrectly. Below is the correct step-by-step installation process:
Uninstall Nvidia driver using the DDU program in Windows Safe Mode.
How to use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) Guide / Tutorial | Wagnardsoft
1 Download Nvidia driver 572.70
GeForce Game Ready Driver 572.70 | Windows 10 64-bit | NVIDIA
2 Install DDU
3 Unistall Nvidia driver using DDU in Windows Safe Mode.
4 Restart PC
5 Install Nvidia driver 572.70
without Nvidia geforce experience, nvidia app and nvidia audio
6 Restart PC

I know that. We should not have to DDU when updating drivers. Not going to try it again for awhile.

It is a known thing with the last couple of patches. Had it too with .60.

Welcome to the party…lol. The only driver I can trust is 566.14 until Nvidia gets their act together. So many negative posts on the Nvidia Forum and I imagine Reddit as well.

In various topics on the forum, I’ve mentioned Nvidia driver version 566.14 as one of the last stable ones, and I’m glad to see that you share the same opinion.
Anyway, tomorrow I’ll be testing the driver version 572.70 along with the new G.Skill 64GB DDR5 CL26 RAM.
Yeah, I am using 566.45 and that seems OK on my 3070ti but all the newer one’s seem to have issues. Will be waiting given all I had to do to get this version run properly.

I think I see a slight performance regression in 2024 so far with 572.70…
Soooo I uninstalled my previous Nvidia driver using DDU for the first time. No, I can’t install ANY driver at all. I keep getting “Nvidia Installer Failed” error message. I’ve tried multiple times and nothing is working. Any help is very much greatly appreciated.

Here apparently everything is the same as in 572.60. I didn’t notice any improvement or worsening in performance.
Same for me…things seem to be fine. Updated through the Nv app. 4070super 58003d
all good with 572.70 here, but had no issues with the previous releases either.
