Any chance it’s similar to this issue I reported? I can’t start SU3 beta either since last night. Worked fine over the weekend and I didn’t change anything.

Same here. Got black screen after driver install, had to force PC to reboot by turning off power supply. Never got something like this before. Reverted to 576.40. No good.
RTX 3070.
Same here too, BS then had to force a reboot. Also rolled back to 576.40. 5070Ti
Just installed an RTX 5090 in my system, an upgrade from a 3090. The 5090 is driving my Samsung double-wide 5120 x 1440p display at 240 Hz via DP.
I’m running MSFS 2024 Beta 3 and have all in-game settings on Ultra with DLAA and FrameGen x 2 enabled. In Freeflight, I’m showing anywhere from 135-150 FPS with this set up and the image has never looked smoother or clearer than it is right now.
I’m also running MSFS 2020 and have all in-game settings on Ultra with DLAA and FrameGen enabled. In Freeflight, I’m showing anywhere from 60-75 FPS with this set up. FrameGen off yields the same results, so FrameGen doesn’t appear to actually work in MSFS 2020.
Bottom line, this driver is working just fine for me.
Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master X
Intel i9-14900K
Gigabyte RTX 5090 Aorus Master
G.Skill 7200 MT/S, 64 Gigs
Windows 11
Installed new 576.52 driver. FPS went from 45-50 up to 59-60, with no other changes. Kicked me out of loading 2024 on the first try, loaded fine the second time. Happy so far on SU 3 Beta. Video memory usage went down to 7.2/10.9 from 9.8/10.9
I’ve had to go back to 576.40 and re-install FS24 to be able to launch it. SU2.
Regarding the latest driver - we know the filters still aren’t fixed and there’s still a CTD when loading MSFS 2020 with DX11, so those issues definitely need to be addressed. That said, I have a feeling I might stick with this driver for a while - there’s a noticeable performance improvement, not just in the SU3 beta.
Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 4090, 64GB 6000 CL26, Windows 11 23H2
Screen freezes few minutes in game for all drivers 576.XXX no issue with 572.83 at all. WTF Nvidia! I’m on Gigabyte Water Force X 5080 and AMD 9900X3D
Same here man
What else performance improvement have you noticed? Was it in FS2020 also? Do you have some figures/data?
Me too. The performance improvement I’ve noticed is my own: I’m able to focus on my flying and am not thinking about my graphics card driver. Too much time spent on things like FPS, VRAM, and all the related settings just takes away from why I’m in the sim in the first place. I’m here to make a flight, preferably an enjoyable one. Worrying about drivers and settings really kills immersion for me!
Yes something has happend with this driver and now my VRAM rarely goes above 10.5gb (i have 12gb) couldn’t use the sim until this dropped and now im getting 60-90 at InIBuilds airports with BATC and Fenix…just had my 1st stutter free flight
When I tried this driver, in MSFS 2020, I was getting the issues refered to in this article: https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/6422969348508--Your-graphics-device-has-encountered-a-problem-and-Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-will-exit-error-message
I roled back and all good again.
I’ve probably had 3-4 flights with this driver now and it’s been stable for me in SU3 beta 1.5.3.0.
I was previously on 576.40 with SU3 beta 1.5.2.0 and saw a CTD nearly every flight, which have thankfully gone now. Also, I switched to ‘latest’ DLSS and preset ‘K’ in NVidia app. I have also enabled Rebar(Rbar), as it had been OFF on my system, 3090/64GB/Win11/dlss performance/4k.
I’m still using SU2 rather than SU3 Beta, but I’ve seeing all sorts of issues since this driver.
None of this was an issue prior to installing this latest driver.
Finally, I did a msfs24 re-install after updating to 576.52 and I do not have anymore CTD. I keep my fingers crossed and hold my breath each time I launch the game.
This driver is performing without issues on my system.
MSFS 2020 - most settings on ultra (Average between 28 - 55fps) 4k
i911900k all cores @ 5.1Ghz
Win 11 Pro latest build
ASUS RTX3080 OC 10G (tweaked)
64G RAM
This is the best driver to date for my 3 1/2 month old PC with a 5070Ti (click profile for more specs).
I have been having serious issues with both 2020 and 2024 ever since I installed this driver. I was trying to figure out why my fenix screens were always white and then also when I load the PMDG 737 my whole sim would freeze and lag making it impossible to do anything. Thought I’d report.
For me it is ok for performances, but very often GPU Load goes up to 99% and I have to switch to win mode (alt-enter) then back again to full screen. Never had this issue before this driver.
