I just installed latest NVIDIA driver 581.80 and carried out a flight, which was much smoother than previously, no stutters/audio pops. Still a slight stutter every now and then when panning the camera in high detailed airport, but overall not too bad at all. Hopefully this continues after a few more flights.

yes mate!,same over here, last nvidia driver 581.80 with a ryzer 9 9950x3D and 5080,also 64MB of RAM and pretty smooth ride for now….let´s see after landing on Atelic ELLX.

Just did Heathrow to Philadelphia. All smooth no issues

WOAH what is this driver? Really noticeable improvements in smoothness and fps stability. Also lower frame times and less GPU load?? Crazy.

Interesting that every one here seemed to have no issues and even improvements. Msfs2024 failed to launch until I rolled back to the previous driver.

I restarted my PC, verified have files, did a full reinstall of msfs24 and no change. Rolled back and everything went back to functioning normally.

See if Windows needs to be updated.

This might be the driver that will move me away from the 577.0 driver.

All the previous 58X.xx drivers have performed badly for me on my 5060ti GPU, I have stayed on 577.0 for that reason as it has always performed well.

Thought I’d give the latest 581.80 driver a try and it seems to be performing very well so far.

Seems nice and smooth driver for my 3090. I could swear I had a few more FPS on departure in the Fenix A319. I cap at 30FPS and use external FG, so it’s hard to tell, but no dramatic dips or stutters while taxiing for departure. Also using AI traffic and BATC. Will see how it goes on landing. All good so far.

I have to say I’m seeing some of the smoothest panning views quickly around the cockpit I’ve seen in a while. Even changing custom camera views is silky smooth now where as on the previous driver(s) it often seemed to pause or struggle to keep up while switching to the new custom view. eg. OHP to straight ahead and back again. I wasn’t sure if this was a DLSS issue, but now with this driver there’s just smoothness between views.

Note: I’m on SU4 beta. (5950x/3090/64GB/DLSS Perf/4k/lossless scaling adaptive FG)

Only had one session so far but it seems to be a “golden driver” for me that I’m gonna stay on for a while! Hopefully it keeps up.

Nice try, Microsoft!

Nice to see positive comments about this driver. It would be nice if you could share your rig specs and NVIDIA settings, please.

I just installed the 581.80; I’ll make a test tonight.

9800x3d, 5090. Nvidia stock settings (never gained any real benefit tweaking them).

i9-14900k / 4090 / 64GB RAM running a Quest 2

DDU Uninstall and installed only driver (no nvidia app).

This driver is legit. No performance degradation and it seems as smooth or smoother locked in at 45 FPS (half my refresh rate). Smooth as silk. Finally a driver that got me off using 576.28.

It’s a winner. For me, anyway. YMMV.

Threw caution to the winds and it works OK so far with my ASUS 5080.

This is the true test of courage AIG-TRAFFIC on at 100% and the flight line at San Jose International, a SW Airlines convention.

9800x3d/rtx5090/32Gb 6000 ram. Mainly PCVR with QPro with official link cable (fixed fps 45, asw = off. Since I use 80Hz refresh rate this gives me a very solid 40fps everywhere. Both su16 2020 and su2 2024 are working well. Still using 2020 most of the time (~80%). Also, pixel density = 1.4x to improve cockpit clarity to TAA levels using dlss/balanced.

Used DDU and clean install without nvidia app. Made a few minor changes with nvidia control panel (mainly just max power and high performance) followed by nvidia profile inspector to turn on all dlss overrides and latest = K.

Performance seems as good as with my previous favorite driver 580.88. Maybe slightly smoother. So, I think I’ll stick with this driver for a while. Cheers.

Anyone else has better performance on nvidia drivers 581.57 than the newer 581.80. For me its like 10 frames diffenrence and more stable on base frames. A little weird to me….
