Even though it’s a Hotfix and not a WHQL and does not specifically list any fixes for MSFS, I loaded it up. Working fine so far in MSFS 2024. Current Beta and running an RTX 5090.

With which GPU?

Nvidia should be sued for delivering drivers that makes Clair Obscur : Expedition 33 crash.

Just realized you were asking me that question. I’ve updated my comment to include my GPU.

Just wondering if anyone has tried using the ansel filters with this driver yet? I realise there’s no mention of it in the notes but they aren’t always that comprehensive.

I’m still using 566.36 from dec 2024 to get the filters working and I’m a bit hesitant to try it myself to see as my sim is currently running very well in SU3.

Anyone else still getting DXGI error with MSFS 2020

This is not a new driver, it’s just a hotfix, so I’m pretty certain filters are still not working, but I didn’t install it.

I’m still sticking with 576.28 (DDU in safe mode used beforehand, then clean install). Like all Nvidia updates, I like to monitor threads like this to see if there are any good reasons to update. So, many thanks and cheers to those who share their findings with newer drivers.

Maybe a bit off topic but I thought it might be useful for some;

All’s currently working great with my i913900k/rtx4090/64Gb 6400ram PC with dlss4 overrides and preset K enabled (dlss/balanced) with msfs2020/2024 (both non-beta). I only use Nvidia control panel to set global and app specific settings, followed by using Nvidia profile inspector (latest version) to set global dlss overrides and presets to latest versions. I still do not see any good reasons to install the Nvidia app. Esp. since last time I installed it it seemed to change a lot of my msfs settings, even though I disabled that feature beforehand. Also, not all Nvidia control panel settings are currently available. Maybe one day it will be worth installing it again.

I’m mainly only flying in VR with my QPro and official link cable connected to my z790mb usb3.2 gen2 type-c port with Oculus Debug Tool (ODT) set to 900mbps max dynamic bitrate (ends up at 750-800mbps), Pixel Density = 1.30, and asw mode set to forced 45fps with asw = off (actually 40fps since I use 80Hz refresh rate with res slider full right).

I also sometimes use my Q3 with Air Link with wifi6 ethernet connected router (with same ODT and meta link settings btw) and it also works very well, but loses a bit of distant objects clarity and has a little more latency. I find that the better quality QPro Qled panels with local dimming produces better colors/blacks. The Q3 is still very playable with flight sims though and I mainly use it for all standalone and wireless PCVR using Air Link with all non-sim games. Both headsets and meta link pc app are on the latest non-ptc/beta v77 updates.

I have used Virtual Desktop on/off for +5yrs (starting with a Q1), as well as the OpenXR Toolkit, but since upgrading to my rtx4090 I haven’t seen any significant improvements using either of these anymore. After every VD update I do test this all out btw.

Again, sorry to go a bit off topic, lol!

Never had any issues with the Nvidia app, its never changed any of my settings unless I’ve forgotten to untick the optimise option.
Also i see a lot of people suggesting that it negatively affects performance but again I’ve never noticed any difference.

The only useful feature in it for me are the ansel filters, but unfortunately they haven’t been working for a few months now.

You can still use the nvidia control panel even if you have the app installed.
