NXCub: Cannot Exit Plane Using Clickspot

:white_check_mark: SIM INFORMATION

This is vital information for our test team, please do not skip it or your issue may not be able to be reproduced or fixed.

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024: 2024

  • Version Build Number (Where do I locate that?): 1.1.7.0

  • Game Platform (Steam, Xbox, MS Store): Steam

:white_check_mark: ISSUE DESCRIPTION

  1. Description of the issue:
There is no clickspot to exit the NXCub. The window can be opened. The door can be opened (controls not correct in Legacy mode, must hold left-click and then press right-click). But there is no clickspot to actually leave the plane (opening the door does not exit you). This is true whether the window is opened first or not.
From the outside, clicking the door handle opens the door but does not cause you to enter the aircraft. Furthermore, the window cannot be closed again from the outside (the click spot is not clickable).
Shift+C does work to enter/exit the plane.

  2. If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
    Cub Crafters NXCub

  3. Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
    No addons/mods installed in 2024

:white_check_mark: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you? (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)
Every time, reliably

:white_check_mark: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue.

  1. Load the NXCub in Freeflight at 10C Galt Airport (airport surely does not matter, but I realized I’ve only tested it here). Either Aerial Advertising or Default variant (assume variant doesn’t matter). I loaded cold/dark.
  2. Click the door on the outside. Door opens, but you remain outside. Click to close the door again from the outside b/c the button is hard to find from the inside.
  3. Enter the plane using Shift+C. Click the “Canopy handle” click spot, hold, then right-click to actuate it. Door opens, but you remain inside.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
Yes, though this may be “by design”.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

  • …Door opens, but you remain outside…
Yes, though the fact that one does not automatically enter the aircraft after opening the door is considered a “plus” by some users (see 2024: Please allow doors to be opened without being forced to jump in or out) Some aircraft have an additional “Enter” Pin, but this is not the case here.

  • …The button is hard to find from the inside…
Yes - there needs to be a visual clue to where to place the mouse to select the “Canopy Handle” (an odd name for a door handle), which, when inside, is not visible when the door is open in order to close the door.

  • …Click the “Canopy handle” click spot, hold, then right-click to actuate it…
I was able to open both the window (left click) and the “Canopy Handle” (mouse wheel). As stated, one remains inside the aircraft. Some users prefer this, as per the link given above.
