OAT of 248 C ?! (Impacts negatively on aircraft performance and autopilot function)

Very easy to see if it’s fixed or not.

  1. Set Live weather
  2. Spawn where ever you want in the world.
  3. Look at your OAT reading
  4. Select SLEW, (Y) and slew up, monitoring your OAT
  5. At about FL450, it should jump highly Positive and stay there.
When you slew back down below FL450, temperature will jump negative again

Takes about 2-3 Minutes to do this test, mostly waiting for plane to spawn.

Sitting on the runway at KAUS(home) now setting up the F-15 to go to Sacramento. I’ll know soon…

All good. I’m at 42K(my normal cruise altitude with the F-15). Working great.

I just bust out the old Rex from the closet in these situations and it does the job just fine . I take an hour or more planning my flights so I take it pretty seriously and don’t like to have a snafu happen in flight as it already has 2 times today with itt spiking. So all is good for now until this issue gets resolved.

I went to space as i were at it, and i noticed the temperature spikes there as well,
maybe its the same phenomen that is causing the bug.

Take it up to FL500 and see how HOT you get !!!

I’ll take a 50K ceiling. That’s much better than 25K. Ha!

Haha…easy flight aside from the haze around KMHR. Landing by hand was a bit of a challenge, but I’m on the ground safe and sound. Time to test the 78X…

I was just flying, ik its bad but I use addons to fix it, the CS777 at FL370 with REX weather because I heard of this bug. My engine just shut down and didnt seem to come back no matter what I tried. Hopefully a fix comes soon, this ruins the sim for airliner fliers.

At FL450 the problem still there. Becarefull with your Longitude. :upside_down_face:

It’s entirely possible that this thing only pops up in lower temps.

I don’t fly that high. With that said, I experienced the same with the F-15 when I took it up that high just to see where the current ceiling is. My 42k cruise altitude in it works just fine. I’d rather not frustrate myself with Asobo by going higher. lol.

Seems to be fixed for me this morning(09:00GMT, western Europe server) only one flight done but right up to FL370 and back down with no excess temp issues encountered. Fingers crossed it’s done with. :crossed_fingers:

I just have done a short flight (EDDL-LSZH FL370). No problems either. :slightly_smiling_face:

It looks like it’s ok at this moment

Seems to be fixed for me too - fingers crossed. Just did a long-haul 3 hr 50 mins flight from Wellington NZ, to Gold Coast, Australia (Part of the Cross-the-Ditch event). All lovely and beautiful with live weather. No excess temps at FL360 throughout ascent and descent.

FL500 ??? :open_mouth:

I’m not Chuck Yeager…

Just did a test over LEPA this morning. All good till FL446. Then it spiked again. It’s an improvement, but the problem its still there.

EDDN to LGAV at FL370, no issues

At FL360 from Madrid LEMD to Gatwick EGKK all good so far a320
