Was finally able to fight the CTDs around KLAX and make it in for a safe landing… Was a really fun flight and hope to join in for some of the future ones as well… Also, is there any chance that what ever is causing the framerate and CTD issues around KLAX will be fixed by the next Cannonball Run?

On a final idea for a future endurance race that could be challenging, you could try to look at Annette Island PANT to Adak PADK. That would require quite a bit of mountain flying and crossing water with some tight airstrips. Great circle distance is only 1600, but you would need to follow coastlines, which would add about 200 to 400 miles and the weather in this region can be a major factor in flight planning.
I am not able to post a link on here, i guess since i just registered for the forums account?

I crashed on runway at KLAX first without parking event, so I wen’t back to KDAG and done the part again and landed succesfully and parked.
Hello everyone!!
Thanks again to SeedyL and FactualGull for this wonderful charity event, and congratulations to all fellow racers.
Here is my logbook. Had an issue in the first leg, the log shows no landing in KCAK, where I had a CTD while refueling 10 minute break, also dispite showing the departure from KJFK, the log didn’t count the take off for the statistics. Sorry about that, I didn’t realize till my second CTD in Kansas City.
Do you mean autopilot or ai pilot? The latter is buggy.
Good Day,
@SeedyL3205 Apologies, I replied with my results on the wrong post, herewith my logbook (XBOX simmer).
Again, thank you for the great event and congrats to you and all the participants.
Unfortunately my logbook seems to have had a fit of some kind, it shows me landing frequently in “[random number] vicinity”. Never mind I think I may have been a dirty cheater anyway, as on the XBox it’s not possible to set rudder assistance to take off only, there is only one option, on or off. So after one CTD and one encounter with the terrain, plus about 5 hours of sleep, unofficially my time was 31 hours 3 minutes. Just glad I finished it and lots was learnt, maybe I can be a bit more competitive next year. Thanks to @SeedyL3205 @FactualGull1036, all the other voice participants on the stream, and all the other competitors for making this a great event. (Except for littlenavmap of course) Special mention to @Stanty16 who gave me a target up ahead in the Icon A5. See you all in 2022.
The autopilot, I don‘t use the AI in the game

I have experienced two times that the plane stalled with autopilot on. I think because of a) suddenly changing conditions because of flying from meteoblue into metar zone, b) egt becoming too low because of leaning or throttling back too much. This will also cause stall.
Maybe there are other reasons too, but this is why I didn’t go to sleep with ap enabled. I see it more like a flight assistant than a 100% autopilot.
I’ve noticed a couple of times on autopilot that wind conditions will cause a sudden loss in altitude that forces the autopilot to perform an extent noise up trim and stalling the plane.
I made it!!!

Thanks!!
Looks like the headwinds are still giving people issues.
Curious about the final overall result of the 4 races!
