There will also be a Discord event channel open for those who want to voice chat.

Please see below for details on the upcoming Fly-In Event.

FLIGHT DETAILS

You will start at Nepal’s capital city of Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport (VNKT) and fly east heading into the foothills of the jaw dropping Himalayas.

At the small village of Charikot you will turn south and make your way to your first stop: The short and grassy Ramechhap Airport (VNRC).

You will continue the flight east towards Manebhaniyang District where you will head north climbing along the mountainous path of the Harkapur Okhaldhunga road before landing at the perilously short dirt runway of Kangel Danda Airport (VNKL).

Continuing, the route will weave its way north through the steep valleys to the spectacular hand-crafted Lukla Airport (VNLK). This will be your third stop.

For the final leg you will leave Lukla Airport and quickly climb north following the valleys onto the path of the Khumbu Glacier until you reach Mount Everest’s incredible summit of 29,029 feet.

Once you have crested Everest’s peak, you will descend eastward, briefly following the path of the Chinese Kangshung Glacier before heading south into Nepal again until you reach your destination airport: Tumlingtar (VNTR).

Took the Turbo Arrow IV on the ride, couldn’t keep up with the TBMs of course but since I skipped the T&G and the Everest ascent, I made it in time to Lukla and the destination

Thanks for hosting and everyone flying with us!

My view on all of the everest flyers from a southern route deviation

@Coppersens Nice pics! I missed the event (drat!!), but I snagged the flight plan, so at least I can fly it by myself!

Can you PM me, I need a link to your user tags mod as I can’t find it, I’ve been having issues, and your profile is hidden so I can’t PM you… Please and thank you!

Sure, here’s the link for everyone.
There’s also a HowTo regarding hiding the “#12345” numeric suffixes that some players have and also how to highlight specific names in a different color (I usually add the hosts of group flights in there to find them more easily in the crowds):

Great screenshots everyone, well done! Really wish I could have attended today’s fly-in.

Really great screenshots, thanks for posting! Had a blast today. Thanks everyone who attended  Hope to see you again next week!

I missed the mass start thanks to being auto-directed to the wrong server…but I flew along behind. What an amazing route. VNKL was just nuts. Made Lukla seem easy.

Nice one, Ill try that one out for next event  Normally in game I just switch traffic names off. For the event its easier to see where all other players are, especially when flying a different airplane  Lots of players had a hard time getting the TBM on the ground nicely lol
