When: Friday, 2000Z, for two hours.
Where: The Official Twitch Channel of MSFS

There will also be a Discord event channel open for those who want to voice chat.

Please see below for details on the upcoming Fly-In Event on September 18th.

FLIGHT DETAILS

We will fly a 160 NM VFR route through the scenic white mountains of Canada with in total 4 landings on banks and open spots. This will be quite the task for the average Cub pilot.

We will take-off from CBN9 and fly south along the water. Various landings will be initiated which can be found in the provided flight plan.

After 2 bush landings on the river-banks, we will head into the mountains to take a break at CYGS. A small and bumpy airstrip.

After regrouping, we will take-off and fly through a valley to CYKY where we will finally be greeted with a runway and an actual airport.

PLANNING

Use a plane such as the XCub or C172.

Starting airport is at CBN9. Please load your aircraft 15 minutes prior to take off and taxi over to the taxiway or parking.

Around 5 minutes prior to take off begin taxiing to the active runway (will be announced). We will do a parallel start and after that start departing to the east.

WEATHER

We will use live weather in this area, but if live weather is not working for you, feel free to use this custom snow preset: NiceSnow.WPR (2.5 KB)

COMMUNICATION

To communicate with others, a voice channel on the "Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Discord” at https://discord.gg/msfs will be available to join.

It is advised in this flight to turn off both aircraft collisions and terrain collisions. If you do crash, you can use “slew” mode to join the pack. If the pack will be too scattered before the first stop, we will use slew on a defined point to regroup.

Thanks that was fun! Even though I had to leave part way through due to a disruptive toddler.
