[Official] Community Fly-In Friday: Fiji

We will be hosting an Official Fly-in alongside a group of community members (you!) on Twitch. This is an open event, free to all who would like to fly along with us and available to pilots of all skill levels. The goal is to have a great time, explore new locations of the world, and make new friends. This event is open to pilots on both sim versions (MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024) and both the PC and Xbox platforms.

FLIGHT DETAILS

We’re off to the sunny and beautiful South Pacific this week for a tour of Fiji! This archipelago nation consists of over 300 islands, and our flight will visit the two largest and most populous: Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

For the best experience, MSFS (2020) players should install the FREE World Update 13: Oceania from the in-sim Marketplace.

Optional Payware Add-on: Participants may also choose to purchase the NFFN Nadi International Airport add-on by developer iniBuilds from the in-sim Marketplace (currently discounted by -20% off as part of the Marketplace Spring Sale). This purchase is entirely optional and is not required to join this fly-in.

MSFS 2024 Pilots on PC, PS5, and Xbox can import the flight plan from the new Flight Planner tool at this link.

You can find instructions on how to load a flight plan from the Flight Planner website to your in-sim EFB on your PC or PS5/Xbox console on our forums here.

We will be starting at NFFN. Please load your aircraft 10 minutes prior to take off and taxi over to the runway in preparation for departure.

AIRCRAFT

Recommended aircraft: Cessna 172, de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, or any other aircraft of your choice with a cruise speed of 120+ knots. Flying an aircraft equipped with floats for water landings is encouraged but not required.

COMMUNICATION

A great flight again. The live weather and real time were particularly well matched to the location. I started a bit earlier today, from the little island west of our official departure airport.

Cool trip arround Fiji.. i was expecting more amphibuous ops than we finally got.. still good chance to take the big shoes AirTractor for a spin
