LET’S FLY

This is meant to be a fun and informal flight. Everybody is welcome, no matter your platform, sim version, or level of experience.

As most of the airports are already bespoke in the sim, here are LSME and LSGG:

2 versions for LSME, both work, but don’t look so good with the overexposed stellite imagry of the areas in FS24 together with the bespoke areas

LSGG is 24 native, but still saw some texture shimmering in some places, although it’s quite detailed ( will probably hammer the CPU main thread)

And approaching the final destination.

As usual a fun community flight! A beautiful sunset during the route, with sundown perfectly timed with the touch down at the final destination.

Is the entire Swiss landscape still bathed in these horrible, oversaturated yellow/brown hues? It’s truly unwatchable in MSFS 2024. When does Asobo intend to finally change that?

Yes, it is. Bijan’s Season Enhanced tries to mitigate it somewhat, with more or less success.

Been a while, since I flew realtime into the dark. Had severe performance problems in VR in SU6 beta. It got a bit better after resetting the Rolling cache and clearing the nvidia/DX shader cache folders, but still not great. Think it’s the heavy photogrammetry across all the landscape, cities and additional bespoke airports.

I apologise to anybody who had their vision interrupted by my plane during a touch’n’go. Just trying to get some action shots.

@SeedyL3205 Re: Where are you from? You do have an Australian regularly flying along, I just listen in and don’t take part in the chat.

Updated Community Flights map

Since you’ll be planning some flights soon I’ll throw my 2c in for some flights I’d like to see. Sri Lanka to Southern India via Adam’s bridge, Lesser Caucasus Mountains (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan), or Corsica + Sardinia. No idea what the situation is with graphic fidelity in these areas, but we haven’t been to any of them before in Fly-In Friday.

Anyway… on with the pretty pics.

Been quite a while (last time was in MSFS 2020) but I joined for some of today. Was good! Thanks! Hoping to join more future ones! :airplane:

Can’t believe we haven’t been to Alaska yet.

Technically we have, just the very south eastern part. But, yeah, something out of Anchorage or through the Aleutian Islands could be a good flight too.

Or Tasmania, there even is a bushtrip for it.

I really enjoyed this week as well. Thank you, everyone.

Had a great flight last week with quite a lot of touch-and-gos. Live time provided a nice sunset along the way.
