[Official] Community Fly-In Friday: World Tour Stage 25: Ljubljana to Budapest (via Zagreb)

We will be hosting an Official Fly-in alongside a group of community members (you!) on Twitch. This is an open event, free to all who would like to fly along with us and available to pilots of all skill levels. The goal is to have a great time, explore new locations of the world, and make new friends. This event is open to pilots on both the PC and Xbox platforms.

FLIGHT DETAILS

The Community Fly-In Friday World Tour continues!

We will check off two more capital cities from our World Tour this week: Zagreb, Croatia and Budapest! Departing from Ljubljana, Slovenia where we ended the last leg, we will fly on a generally easterly heading across Croatia and Hungary, taking in the sights of many POIs (including castles, statues, towers, and stadiums) en route. One of the highlights of this stage will be flying over Hungary’s Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe and a popular tourist destination.

We will be starting at LJLJ. Please load your aircraft 10 minutes prior to take off and taxi over to the runway in preparation for departure.

AIRCRAFT

Recommended aircraft: Beechcraft Bonanza, Beechcraft Baron, Cirrus SR22T, Diamond DA62, or any aircraft of your choice with a cruise speed of ~150 knots.

MULTIPLAYER SETTINGS

Please adhere to the following settings so you can see everyone / be seen by everyone.

Live traffic	As preferred
Weather	Few Clouds
Time of Day	Daytime

It is advised in this flight to turn off both aircraft collisions and terrain collisions. If you do crash, you can use “slew” mode to join the pack. If the pack will be too scattered before the first stop, we will use slew on a defined point to regroup.

COMMUNICATION

To communicate with others, a voice channel on the "Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Discord” at https://discord.gg/msfs will be available to join.

This is meant to be a fun and informal flight. Everybody is welcome, no matter the amount of experience.

With flying solo I thought I would change the route up, instead of flying over a few airports I was able to fly over a handful of castles with keeping the shape of the route rather similar to what you folks had set up.

I enjoyed the architecture of the castles for scenery.

It was a really good event as usual, felt a little bit more special as the destination was my home country. I have to admit, one of the POIs of the route, the Miska Huszár statue, I haven’t heard about it until World Update XIV was released. But this summer I was on vacation with my girlfriend near Pákozd so we visited the real thing. Who said you can’t learn new things from video games?
