Official Discussion: July 7th, 2022 Dev Update

Really? I always have ground traffic set to zero when I use Online AI Traffic (along with AIG) and Heathrow is usually packed. Are you using a non European server? That could be the reason

It’s pretty simple, move the bit with the price tags down a bit in the update, like the end.

Not talking about AIG here with AIG on PC yeah without No

Im on xbox, can’t get AIG, so perhaps that makes a difference?

As the other guy mentioned they only spawn in when ready to leave gates. I do see aircraft at gates but not loads, at most 1-2 in the same area/terminal, and plenty coming into land normally.

I keep server on automatic, which normally sets it to Western Europe I think.

Please, the MOST IMPORTANT THING in this update is having realistic weather effects! It’s really a shame that at the moment in a FLIGHT SIMULATOR there are no thunderstorms, no CB clouds and when you enter clouds NOTHING happens, not even the lightest turbulence, in ANY type of clouds
If the weather effects are not implemented, it will be USELESS to have the possibility to implement a weather radar

I find that typically the opposite is true, sometimes a relatively minor change can have a big impact on the balance between cpu and gpu. When folk do recalibrate they should do so with v and g-sinc off. The time to turn it back on is afterwards if at all.

Note v-sinc enabled in NVCP global will limit fps to what your monitor can actually show which is particularly useful within MSFS’s menu’s. You are not required to create a max framerate unless you need to.

good question

Any news on WASM being sorted for xbox in su10?

I understand. I don’t use AIG for the real world flightplans just the model matching. All it does is puts the correct liveries onto the planes generated by msfs’s own online AI system. I could turn AIG off and the same number of planes would appear, they would just have the default msfs liveries.

I dont know what is going on with yours - perhaps it is just an XBox thing. I don’t have a console so I can’t test it but Heathrow, for example, is usually full of people to the point were it can drop my frames by about 10fps (the AIG model matching accounts for some of that hit though).

Lots of people like hovering about in that Halo plane that was released recently:-)

If this is an XB problem I hope they get it sorted for you soon.

Well I don’t use multiplayer normally, so that could be why you see extra aircraft. Have you tested multiplayer off and compared?

Online AI only? I use that as well. That does take a while for planes to spawn in and also the planes that come in to land (you can track these on Flight24 with a delay of between 5 to 30mins) will also start filling the place up. The problem is, because the ATC needs some work, it struggles to handle all of the incoming traffic and you end up with a lot of planes being told to do a go around

Could anyone point me to how I can enter this coming beta for SU10? I’m on Steam, and did not find any beta to opt in in the Steam MSFS settings.
Just wanted to make sure I could take part, if that indeed was possible.
thx

There will be instructions closer to the time. You usually do it via the XBox Insider Hub

Just spawned in at Heathrow. MP==Off. AI Traffic==On.
Turned daylight down so you can see but after about 10 mins - here they come:-)

Watch for the official post later today here on the Forum, it will contain detailed instructions on how to join the Beta as well as how to leave it and revert back to the SU9 should you want to do that after testing out the Beta. The official post with instructions and the beta release notes will come out close to the release time (so about 2-3 hours from now when I am writing this post)

And it starts filling up like this - so if this isnt happening for you then something is amiss

When the beta is released, go into steam/msfs and right click on properties. Toward the bottom of that list you will see beta, when its avaliable it will show there, click on it, and close then start the sim in steam, and it will download the new files for the launcher, then once you launch the game it will update whatever else needs to be updated.

Getting out of the beta is usually a bit more complicated. So either make a backup copy of the non-beta of the game 1st, or be prepared to redownload the whole sim if you opt out.

Yep, my exact findings as well, with the go arounds (caused by slow exit of runway) it really doesn’t help, I hope thats fixed in SU10.

How long did the airport take to fill up like that?

I normally don’t hang around long enough.

I noticed this yesterday, it takes a while for the traffic to kick in. Even so, I still have doubts about the paintings being real than the airport.

Round 10-15 mins. Some planes just spawn at the gates rather than just come in to land
