same problem!
Currently I am not able even start flight because I get CTD even on World Map.
So thank you Microsoft/Asobo for your perfect work. 
MSFS is now completely broken for me.
I agree, since SU5 FS2020 has been getting worse and worse.
I can no longer fly because the data stream keeps disconnecting and connecting.
I tried to do the steps but it didn’t work, I still have the same problem, it goes to offline mode and the world disappears for a few minutes, that’s the most annoying thing
Same as other people above. This workaround unfortunately is invalid. Did exactly what it says and the problem still exists.

Just to let you know, we made a change and now the Online Status page shows the last time it was updated:
As of this time, there are no server issues.
You may get some other ideas on how to correct the issue using the forum search function!

Today the sim is unusable for me as well. Never had serious problems before. Today I got the message that another process is interfering with the sim several times, after that the sim hangs. Other times the sim works but my settings are mixed up (assistance easy, wrong language, etc.), and I was not able to finish a single flight without crashing.
I only use Windows Defender for anti-virus and have excluded C:/FS2020 and FlightSimulator.exe. I have tried with an empty community folder as well, no difference. All Windows updates installed and all apps up to date.
I had read about the server outage today and only started the sim about 4 hours ago when all the server problems were supposed to have been resolved.
All day and night. FS2020 every day is a pandora’s box, error after error.
This will have an end ?
Flew a couple hours today (from about 13z to 15:30z)

Looks like they are having trouble.
Maybe good idea to post also to which server you are connected to if you have problems. Flying right now 2 hours already and no issues. Server set to automatic [west europe].

Restarted sim after flying this morning. Initially got could not authenticate error on start. Now sim wont start at all after restart.
I have been having this problem for a long while now. It is happening with more frequency. I am getting tired of this. There’s a problem every single day.
I am getting the “License can’t be authenticated” error as well every single time I launch the sim.
