I have 2020 and based on what I read - waiting until Christmas for 2024 will give it time to get better!
Fixed that for you
What type of flying do you do?
Centre stick or Yoke aircraft?
Mostly a GA flyer but like jets too. I actually have the Honeycomb yoke and throttle, but donʻt have enough room for a cockpit right now. I was quite disappointed in the mapping required to use these with MSFS 2020, so they are packed up right now. Currently use a keyboard/mouse. Casual gamer for sure.
I have a Logitech Yoke set with quadrant,
The yoke has a Leo Bodnar A/D converter board to make the travel smooth from limit to limit.
For a Centre Stick aircraft, a zipclip an old bike handlebar and stem to the yoke and re-adjust the position of the Quadrant.
I have VR. HTC Vive Pro 2.
Every hand operated control has to be in the correct position as I see it in VR.
This is for the RH seat in the Grob 115, RAF Trainer by Irissimulations.
Love that!
Am I wrong? Iʻve been reading various posts about MSFS 2024 and how controllers are handled. Is the following true?
-
T.Flight HOTAS MSFS 2024 edition (my Christmas present) will not work out of the box and will require creating a custom config for every aircraft.
-
The user interface for mapping controllers is more difficult to use in 2024 then the UI for 2020.
-
Controller mappings are not stored in separate files that can be easily imported/exported.
Thanks!
