If it really is possible to manually select how many passengers there will be, then I see it as perfect companion with OnAir. I thought it’s only random.
Maybe I should try it…
Yes, you can select the amount of passengers. At the beginning of each flight you define which aircraft you’re flying and pax number.
You can also import your flight from SimBrief and define number of passengers there.
Just a bit of friendly warning however. SLC is geared towards airliners. If you want enhance your GA passenger flight then wait for possible future version to come out that may have GA support. Currently it doesn’t work well. Also the number of layouts for MSFS aircraft is limited (like I said, they haven’t grasped MSFS popularity) but thankfully there’s users creating those.
Also forgot to add, the names of your flight crew will be different in SLC and OnAir because they don’t integrate and u can’t edit their names. Which is a shame. I got used to flying with some of my best OnAir flight attendants with top stats.
90% of the cabin layouts on the SLC discord are made by the community. It’s not designed to work with anything that doesn’t have a galley/kitchen, so that’s what limits the variety of layouts for GA. better GA support is coming in the future and any issues with MSFS support should be fixed for the most part in 1.6 which is currently in development. Self Loading Cargo is still in early access so expect things to change quite a bit during its dev. Details of its future can be found in the Roadmap on the SLC website.
OnAir caues a CTD after about 5 mins on every try so not worth if for me at the moment. Havent found anything to help figure out why its happening either
Strange I’ve done about 6 jobs back to back today over about 7 hours without having to restart MSFS or OnAir.
In my opinion, OnAir is far better, based on 1 month using it ans a detailed video I’ve seen of FSE. On Air just looks soo much better, and also has the same opportunities. But is abit expensive.
Are you actually kidding me?
Who is actually kidding who?!?!?
Can you start out using Airliners in OnAir or do you have to build up to it? I have no desire to fly the smaller planes. Just the A320nx and larger.
You have to build up. Depends which game world you play in (e.g. which difficulty) it can be as easy as letting AI do it within one day, or probably several days of flying routes on smaller planes by yourself before u gather enough capital.
Question for Veteran OnAir Users:
After a couple of weeks into the program, I find there are more things I want to do, like hire AI pilots. But because I chose Bank Loan Skills first, I have to wait to build up my XP to choose Hiring Agreement. Or…
In the Options menu is a box I can select to “Unlock All Skill Tree”.
By checking that box, am I cheating myself out of the purpose of the program?
Finally, someone who sees the truth. What do you think about the 3-hour weekly maintenance downtime? For a paid subscription, I find it unacceptable. I complained about this on their Discord, got banned, and started making my own competing app.
Has anyone else hit an issue wher OnAir no longer includes MSFS as a sim option?
FSX, X-Plane, and Prepar3D are options but not MSFS. I had to do a re-install of OnAir (yes, 64-bit) due to other issues which have been coming up sonce the 23 Dec update. If I choose FSX it will connect and track flights (which it stopped doing before the re-install) but a lot of airports - everything in the direction I need to head to - are not recognised as being in the sim because OnAir is looking for its existence in FSX.
Having an issue that the 208 in MSFS is not being recognized. Can anyone post the link to their discord?
And it’s also, there is lack o pax routes and no haveir cargos more than plane king air carries.
It really isn’t, the developers don’t care about the community, bans their volunteer help staff when they defend the community, and they violate EU labor laws by having paid their support staff that answers tickets, only $200 a month when french minimum wage laws dictate that they should’ve been paid at least $1500 a month.
