OnAir: manage your own MSFS airline company

And what now? Getting bored after that?
Not in OnAir you would…
Point is, there is nothing in FSE, except grinding money… for nothing…
FSE is for kids wanting to play with toy planes. You can have what ever you want, where ever you want. Just teleport. Could it be any more stupid…?

Ah yes, the C130 that isn’t available in MSFS :see_no_evil:

You can alias the Airbus just fine, or use another plane.

If onair is so good then why does it need to spam the forums?

I am actually really enjoying Onair like the poster above i was using FSE as well. However they seem to be stuck in time over at FSE. You ask them to add new aircraft and get sarcastic replies. There moto is “it has to be a default aircraft in sims for us to impliment it” Ok then i would love to know what sim has a 727 as a default aircraft.
You mention anything other than good and sing FSE praises on FSE you get met with sarcastic comments from the fanboys and the staff members. Thankfully i have paid up for Onair and get nothing but a fantastic friendly community of members and staff and a modern UP TO DATE product. Bye Bye FSE

For the umpteenth time, people that enjoy a product will talk about it and recommend it to others.

I for one had never heard of it or its inferior (but free, yay ) competitor before seeing them talked about on this forum.

What makes you think it is “inferior” if you haven’t played it?

And we can witness this fantastic friendly community every day, trash talking FSE and FSE users at every opportunity, while OnAir isn’t even OnLine

You are aware that you are in an On-Air thread right?

There are 2 OnAir threads (which should be merged imo but no biggie). Hardly flooding the forum.

If you don’t like it, why are you continually posting in On-Air threads? Go make an FSE thread.

Who says I havent tried it?

I tried it for 3 days (after it took over a week to even get an account) and gave up because if OA’s interface is being described as archaic by some, FSE is comprehensively prehistoric. It also doesnt really jive well with MSFS (can’t filter to planes/ airports that you can actually use for starters) and any requests as to whether MSFS will be more integrated into FSE are met with derision and a generally passive aggressive attitude. Seems to me that there are a lot of FSE long timers who now feel threatened by the rising popularity of OnAir, which is irrational.

Just enjoy the product you enjoy.

This is not only an OnAir thread. It is also a trash talking FSE thread as you are constantly demonstrating. FSE didn’t give you your free account, FSE is passive aggressive fanbois FSE is inferior FSE requires 600 good flights to afford a small turboprop, FSE is this FSE is that. You can’t have it both ways.

I never said that FSE is superior it’s you and a few others who keep bringing this up and the facts are easily checked.

Are you serious? Grow up already. Every day same… blah-blah-blah-blah…

Btw… OnAir is online… just saying…

The title of the thread is OnAir: Manage your own airline company. I think it’s fair to say it’s an OnAir thread, only posters like you keep coming in to trash it and then act surprised when OnAir users react.

You asked why I thought FSE was inferior. I answered you. If you don’t want the answer, don’t ask the question.

Meanwhile I’ve done a nice little jaunt from Uk → France → Italy → Germany and am now heading back to Bristol so the rented plane is close to its homebase so I can ditch it without a big cost.

Time to start looking at what to buy for an AI pilot while I do the epic level 5 mission in a TBM probably.

As an aside, I wonder if real pilots do what I do which is take off, set autopilot, then go watch youtube, visit forums etc until I’m <100 miles from where I’m landing.

Next time I’m on a commercial plane I’ll be sitting there wondering if the pilot is browsing Twitter on his iPad

I’ve now further upped my experience with OnAir by flying with Self-Loading Cargo (SLC) add-on on passenger flights.

The two add-ons perfectly complement each other to be honest. For those of you who don’t know SLC simulates cabin and pax management. U now gotta watch your angles, speed, and landing to score a good rating.

The two don’t integrate of course so it’s a bit of legwork to set both up before your flight.

One disadvantage of SLC is that I feel there isn’t much focus on MSFS. They haven’t grasped and capitalized on new wave of simmers like OnAir did.

I recommend anyone interested to give it a go. As an added bonus challenge you can couple it with A32NX mod. Good luck operating an FBO on London City (EGLC). I crashed so many times on takeoff in fully loaded A320

PS. Having to run all these add-ons really makes me sad MS didn’t include a proper thought out career mode. Either buy out or copy what those add-ons are doing and have it in vanilla game. As other poster said, if it wasn’t for these add-ons I’d have put down MSFS already after some sightseeing. I need to be told where to fly and for what purpose. Imagining everything in my brain (“ok so now I’m gonna pretend I’m a Lufthansa flight from A to B”) just doesn’t work for me, and I imagine many other players. Such missed opportunity by MS.

Isn’t that SLC all random? I mean, you can’t choose how many passengers there will be etc, can you?

Yes you can.
