Hello, I have a problem, I can not load the A320 FBW Dev version. I formatted my hard drive 2 times and reinstalled everything. Then with the FBW installer I download the Dev version in my Community folder (C: \ Users \ dedemc \ AppData \ Local \ Packages \ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe \ LocalCache \ Packages \ Community), then I run MSFS, without mods or addons and I choose "FlyByWire Simulatons A320neo “and I press” Fly ". And there, I find myself in an A320 where there is indeed the tablet, but without the possibility of adjusting the TCA Quadrant, the autobrakes no longer work, there is no Hydraulic page in the ECAM and there is no Autoland either. . I deduce that I am in the A320 Stable version. If someone could tell me what I’m doing wrong so that I don’t get the Dev version, that would do me a great favor, because now I’m starting to run out of hair. Thank you.
I haven’t read the terms and conditions for the dev build but I’m sure ‘use at your own risk’ is in there somewhere!
What’s the name of the zip download file, if it’s A32NX-master.zip you’ve got the development version, or you might have the ‘stable’ or ‘experimental’ versions.
You know, I’m kind of speechless. Never heard this issue. Try this:
- Go to your community folder and delete the flybywire folder.
- Go here and download the “Development Build”: FlyByWire Simulations
(don’t download the installer, just download the dev version) - Unzip the downloaded file into you community folder.
Try and fly.
I did it but still the same. Thank you.
Yes it is A32NX-master.zip. Thank you.
Did you try switching to the experimental version ?
I am using the experimental version ( build ff7f81f9 ) only , because it has the autoland / simbrief integration and many more features the stable and the dec version dont have.
Although earlier it was updatet 2 times a day, but now no update since weeks…
But anyway … works ( also after the latest MSFS update )
Then you missed the news. Experimental was weeks ago merged into development version. Experimental is currently no longer maintained.
Did you download the stable version via Marketplace before?
oh yes missed or neglected it … since experimental version remains working on my system
so also the downloader is obsolete as well ?
I heared that only the stable version is on the marketplace
and the dev version ?
Installer is not obsolete. It’s the best way to get development version as well. Marketplace is the stable only.
I tried the three versions.
Yes I did.
I have the dev version in my community folder. Do I have to choose the FBW plane in the list of the sim (World map screen) even if it is the stable version?
All versions are now a separate plane…
@AGuther
Didn’t touch the msfs2020 for some time and also missed that expermintal was merged into dev branch.
So, you are saying that i need to switch to dev version in intaller. But what about my configuration for Thrustmaster Quadrant , Flaps, Sidestick? will be it also moved smoothly?
As i have now this is a configuration that specially dedicated to experimental version.
It depends on the version you have used. At a point I switched the interface of the calibration (the one with high and low values in the file). If you have that file already it should be smooth.
For the other things I expect no change.
Thanks, will try just to switch the version and see what happens.
