Are you using latest preview runtime?
And which Settiing ist set in the Tool when i use the World Scale in Sim? 0 orer also 100?
Thx Matthiu
Excuse me for asking a silly question, too many info here and opinions and I don’t understand…
Do we have to turn on the Preview Runtime Settings at the end or not?
Thanks in advance!
I un-installed OpenXR toolkit and it still does it with anything above Medium settings…any other suggestions…looking to get back to where I had it running good before the updates…thanks.
See previous answer.
This is only applicable to WMR devices (G2 etc). “Preview” is the beta.
So it’s up to you. Do you want to use the Beta or not? That is your decision.
If you are using Motion Reprojection, at this time I would recommend you use “Preview” since it has several updates. If you are not using Motion Reprojection, then it probably does not matter much.
I am yes.
All was working really good in the beta the last couple weeks since the big fix to OpenXR to improve MR.
Seems like it’s reverted back for me to how it was prior to the fix now.
Can you think of any tipping point though. With people changing drivers, get OS updates, toggling DX11/12, versions of the game… It’s very hard to keep track. There must be one particular thing you changed and that made a difference?
Thanks for the clarification, very clear.
I have a G2 and I’ve always used the preview mode but I read some users having issues with it while without it not. So I wanted to understand what was your suggestion after all.
Thanks again and have a nice weekend!
Big thanks to @mbucchia and @RomanDesign for the help in making use of VR hand controls much less aggravating. I’ve uploaded a little demo and quick explanation for anyone else playing around with this, but as a 3rd option when flying to my mouse and HOTAS, this worked really nicely.
Yes the idea is if you are willing to beta test and report issues, then please use it. But if it breaks for some reason, please report the issue and turn it off until the next version. This way you are unblocked.
Nice. Have you tried flying with it? Do you have the “interaction loss” when after a minute of your hand out of the frame you can’t interact with controls anymore, until you trigger laser and back to direct mode? What HMD/hand tracker are you on? G2 + Leap Motion (small one)?
Pardon the dumb question. I only fly in VR.
DX11 or 12 and DLSS are not VR options - only PC. I assumed that was pancake mode stuff. Do the PC settings affect VR?
For DX11 and DX12, settings also affect VR (after game restart).
For DLSS/TAA, both the PC and VR settings have their own independent settings.
Sometimes, especially when I switch to vr I get cpu bound and frames go down to 5 or 8 fps then it starts ramping up but occasionally it goes back 2 times before stabilizing. What causes this is I am on an i7-12700k. I experienced this in both MSFS and especially in XP12
Changing DX version requires a restart. It wouldn’t be possible to switch between VR and monitor if they were independent settings.
I may have missed it while scanning the thread above, but is anyone else having issues with ghosting of the toolkit menu while in game? When flying, there are blocks of the tool kit that seem to blur the view, even though nothing is being displayed in the toolkit window. It’s likely me, with something I’ve done/not done, but any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I just want to thank @mbucchia for updating the toolkit to work with dx12. DX12 works a lot better for me than DX11 in SU10 and using the toolkit works a lot better in DX12 than not using it.
I’m now running with DX12, 100% openxr, 100% TAA render scale, TLOD at 250, and with the toolkit using FSR at 90% and 40% sharpening. It’s looking great with my Reverb G2 and AMD 6900xt GPU!
I noticed that when I play on reduced field of view (80 per example), the right/left movements became laggy, like it has low FPS, but it doesn’t.
Is it only me?
Thanks
I noticed that too. I originally started at 90%, then 95% and now back at 100% as I find it too distracting and not worth the 1 or 2 FPS improvement it gave.
